Man, that was definitely sponsored by Hefty. I got 8 hangers coming from Best Buy and that might be all I get after watching this. Thanks for taking one for the team.
You definitely took one to the yam bags opening those fat packs. I will probably open just 1 hanger box to see the cards in hand. Thanks for the preview.
It all depends on your purpose for buying, to collect or resale etc. I think these are fine if you are just collecting and not worried about hits and flipping.
feel like the hobbu box or jumbo is the way to go... 11 packs and not even 1 numbered.. phhew, thanks for the video tho! even though "lack of value" but the base cards and inserts are pretty solid
Some people just like building sets. Not everyone is trying to make a million $$ off baseball cards. I have built every set since 2017. It's just a hobby not a retirement plan. I personally like the look of these cards this year.
Thanks for taking two for the team so others have a slightly better chance of getting a hit. I have a jumbo box coming and 4 fanatics blasters. Probably done with series 1 at that point.
Wow, did anybody get the license plate of the truck that ran over you? This brings back memories of 2023 series 1 retail. Wait for this product in the bargain bins. Passing along well wishes.
I’m done ripping. Took a bath with Update. The thrill is gone. Was really frustrated with collation in Update because it wasn’t worth the time to put together sets. I’d have 30 of one card, 8 of another. I just quit putting them together and I want to just throw it all out. Anyway, love your videos. Hope you find more to rip this year.
The good news about a bad release is that I can focus on older products that I have been wanting to buy. I'll probably grab a Jumbo or Hobby, but Retail looks almost as bad as 2023 Series 1. Unless one of the RC's goes insane, I think there is no rush to buy this product, and if so Hobby/Jumbo seems like the buy.
I will still buy. It’s not all about the numbered cards. It’s about collecting your favorite team or player. Topps probably made it tougher to get the hits to sell more cards
Thank you for your sacrifice 😂. Yeah I don’t think I’ll be buying. That sucks though because the archives qc is bad. The foils are all scratched. I’ve opened quite a bit of it. So that means I will have nothing locally to open for a while.
WOW. This was very very very painful. These fat packs or value packs will be sitting on the shelves. They will be clearanced out before series 2 comes out.
Looking at the odds Value Boxes (Blasters) and Fat Packs are the worst retail formats. Fat Pack especially. Been a brutal 2 openings. I have some Jumbos, Hangers & Fanatics Blasters coming in. We can only hope for better. By the odds (and they’re never set in stone) these 3 formats are the top 3. Mega Box is right there too.
Looks like retail is just retail again like the old days. I will still enjoy getting base cards of a few key players (Crews, Wood), but I won't spend $25 on more than just a couple of blasters.
After everyone has been opening update for the past 4 months - this transition is going to be brutal. Panini vibes with the unnumbered parallels. Yikes
Gotta be honest. I knew your take going into the year. I appreciate your feedback on the cards and the quality. Take away being a rare chance to see this product at this point and there is ZERO reason to ever watch another of your videos. Super sad. If your heart isn’t in it…… take a break. This isn’t fun or healthy for anyone.
Nice shiny stuff. Back in the day all cards would have value. Not so much anymore. I think I’d rather spend my $300 on classic HOF player slabs. Take care.
2024 Greatest Hits Pink Foil is 1:952 out of Fat Packs; which is 4th best odds (1. Jumbo, 2. Hanger, 3. Grocery Shipper(still don't know what that is, blister packs maybe?) and 4. Fat Packs). Looking at the odds list though...no one should buy this product. I hope the lack of hits within the retail format comes back to bite Topps in the ass. I bought one Hobby/Blaster combo from Topps, but unless it all gets heavily discounted, I think that'll be all I do for Series 1.
Rough. They printed way too much. That or just number the pinks and other Diamantes, even if they are numbered to 5000, who cares? I'm glad all I could get was the Hobby+Blaster combo and 2 Megas. I like the silverfoilboards, and at least they're still guaranteed parallels. The odds are just brutal.
I don’t like how you opening the product before release day should have to wait. I get product in my company I’m not allowed to sell till release day .
I hate to be that guy but I have to be. 7 dollars a pack for 25 cents worth of cards. 👍. I won't be buying any of these. I'll wait for chrome to come out though and pick some of that up.
It seems like Topps baseball has gone back to the 80's where there were no numbered cards
I love seeing the classic 90 design. That's what brought me back into collecting.
I will keep buying Topps 2024 update hangers until they run out thanks for the preview
Diamante is a hanger exclusive parallel. Those you've pulled from the blasters and fat packs are the various holo foils.
Series 1 looks brutal so far smh
The blasters were bad
Series one is always the most printed and worse to hit anything but this looks even worse than usual
New subscriber here. I liked seeing the 1990 retro design! Thanks for sharing
Man, that was definitely sponsored by Hefty. I got 8 hangers coming from Best Buy and that might be all I get after watching this. Thanks for taking one for the team.
breaks or nothing
This is a great looking product. I bought a jumbo and will probably buy some retail as it comes out (I’m a NATS fan). Thanks for sharing the rip
Disagree with it being a great looking product but if I was a Nats fan I would also buy a lot of 25 topps
Steering clear of series 1 as it is a swift kick to the yam bags and the removal of all of the numbered cards makes the product unexciting.
Those aren't bad I like the 90's throw back, I might go buy a James Wood hit off ebay. Someone is bound to get one that is gradeable
You definitely took one to the yam bags opening those fat packs. I will probably open just 1 hanger box to see the cards in hand. Thanks for the preview.
Feels like 2022 series 1 with the long odds for hits. I’m definitely laying off the retail.
If they do go on clearance I'm buying em. In the meantime I'm waiting for my mega and hobby boxes I pre ordered.
It all depends on your purpose for buying, to collect or resale etc. I think these are fine if you are just collecting and not worried about hits and flipping.
I am aware Topps took away the numbered cards, the effect shows. However, this year's design is a good one. Thanks for sharing.
@@haroonalrasheed699 can’t wait to see them in chrome
What are they doing for the DH position on the front of the card??
A true woman wants a jumbo box of cards for Valentine’s Day. That’s what my wife requests each year for Valentine’s Day. Win win
Thanks for the rip, that was rough!!! I can justify buying more 2024 Update after seeing this!
The Rece Hinds insert, and parallel are both awesome. Let's go REDLEGS!!! Thanks for sharing bro!!!
Gonna stay away from retail for sure! Thanks for the vid!
feel like the hobbu box or jumbo is the way to go... 11 packs and not even 1 numbered.. phhew, thanks for the video tho! even though "lack of value" but the base cards and inserts are pretty solid

I totally get that but raising the prices of products doesn’t help. Fanatics will continue to profit more and devalue products.
@stepinthebox1945 I can see that point also
I always enjoyed making sets. Back in the day, every set release I bought, I would sort them into sets
Diamantes are only in the hanger boxes. We're looking at hollow foils here
Thanks for taking two for the team so others have a slightly better chance of getting a hit.
I have a jumbo box coming and 4 fanatics blasters. Probably done with series 1 at that point.
Geesh! Rougher than the blasters!
Fat packs are the worst ROI in all formats of card collecting, avoid them like the plague
2025 feels a lot like 2023. Mass overproduction.
Singles and sp’s are probably all I’ll buy, print runs must be insane if $300+ yields close to zero hits.
Unless hobby boxes are loaded this year with hits
Wow, did anybody get the license plate of the truck that ran over you? This brings back memories of 2023 series 1 retail. Wait for this product in the bargain bins. Passing along well wishes.

Wow, I wish I'd waited to pre-order. I should have just bought the set of Stars of MLB and saved the chore of ripping all the base.
I'm optimistic about my hobby box🤞. Topps usually sends me heat.❤
Best card in all that was definitely the Ryno 1990 style. Only half joking. Those were brutal, thanks for sharing! Go Cubbies!
Great content. Thank you!
Do they even have numbered cards? Unreal.
Brutal.
I will still buy. It’s not all about the numbered cards. It’s about collecting your favorite team or player. Topps probably made it tougher to get the hits to sell more cards

How’d you get it so early ?
Is today release day?
2/12
I asked my wife to buy me something baseball card related and she came back with a book of matches
Good for your wife.
Looking at the odds Value Boxes (Blasters) and Fat Packs are the worst retail formats. Fat Pack especially. Been a brutal 2 openings. I have some Jumbos, Hangers & Fanatics Blasters coming in. How did you already get them?
wait, how did you get these!
2025 Topps series 1 blasters and fat packs; so far, trash can water. Topps definitely took you behind the wood shed and reamed you good
I'm actually more interested in getting a complete set of the 1990 reprints.
I'm assuming all the hits are in jumbos.
That would be a mistaken assumption. The hits are in breakers boxes, reserved for Jabs Family and others.
If that Goldschmidt Greatest Hits is a Pink Foil it was a 1:952 pack odds pull
How did you get these before release day?
Isn’t that Rays card with the guy saluting a short print image??
Looks like retail is just retail again like the old days. I will still enjoy getting base cards of a few key players (Crews, Wood), but I won't spend $25 on more than just a couple of blasters.
Love the 90 Topps but it’s looks like the print run is the highest yet. Same price but more of. 😢
Doesnt the fact that the numbered cards are rarer in this release make them.thst.much more valuable if you do get one
Unfortunately no.
Huge W man
Why did Topps decide to not follow up with 24 update approach with 25 series one, because it was 🔥
After everyone has been opening update for the past 4 months - this transition is going to be brutal. Panini vibes with the unnumbered parallels. Yikes
Gotta be honest. I knew your take going into the year. I appreciate your feedback on the cards and the quality.

If your heart isn’t in it…… take a break. This isn’t fun or healthy for anyone.
Super rough to go from ripping 24 update to this
Wow! Brett thank you being the sacrificial lamb. Unsatisfactory.
thanks for showing now I know not to buy retail packs.
I think I'll buy Hobby and Jumbo but buy a few Hangers or Fat packs. Whatever is in retail just for kicks and the content.
Thx 🙏
I'm just here to complete the set
$70 for a $15 return... thanks Topps
Nice shiny stuff. Back in the day all cards would have value. Not so much anymore. I think I’d rather spend my $300 on classic HOF player slabs. Take care.
Good stuff ! U da man!
These are rough 😬
No series 1 retail for me, I'm thinking.
I thought Walker Jenkins might be in series 1
2024 Greatest Hits Pink Foil is 1:952 out of Fat Packs; which is 4th best odds (1. Jumbo, 2. Hanger, 3. Grocery Shipper(still don't know what that is, blister packs maybe?) and 4. Fat Packs). After looking at the blaster box break and just a few numbered cards i can't see me buying alot of this product
Thanks for the video and these are defentley a hard pass for me. hopefully chrome is better.
Why are some of the last names in black print…and impossible to read?
Not sure a woman thinking a man collecting sports cards is a real man 🤔 😂
U able to let go one of your 3 vlads for me im a huge vlad guy
Hefty 😢
The only series 1 I'll get is the mega box. No thanks for the others.
Step in the Box for Life!!!
Series 1 always stinks but this is ridiculous.
Yikes, prob will just buy the hangers and 1 jumbo. Not sure though
Rough. They printed way too much. That or just number the pinks and other Diamantes, even if they are numbered to 5000, who cares? I'm glad all I could get was the Hobby+Blaster combo and 2 Megas. I like the design, but the lack of hits is horrible. I’ll end up buying a few when they hit the shelves 🤷🏽♂️ I’m a sucker for cards.
It would be nice if the Team name was in The team color, would be able to see it better maybe
I don’t like how you opening the product before release day should have to wait. I get product in my company I’m not allowed to sell till release day .
One the breakers start complaining then Toppsnwill listen. They don’t care about the hobbyists and collectors anymore.
7:32 Teoscar is an image variation, "Dancing Dodgers" which is allegedly Hobby only
Pulling them Demi Lovato sparkle parallels
these arent diamantes those are hanger exclusive. These are just foilboards
Flagship always kinda 💩……best later on when goes chrome!
Glad I kicked the habit a long time ago.
3 security tags….. not bad
I bought a hobby and Jumbo and I will probably regret it. Definitely not buying any retail, looks terrible
Not looking good. Thanks for the rip 🍀
I guess after update, they had to go to the trash route.
No Luisangel Acuña and garbage odds.
So how about Series 2, eh?
Rough. Im gonna pass.
Are u able to sell me that vlad base now ?!!!!
I’m just looking for 1 vlad jr base !!!!!!
Half of the last names being in white and the others not, driving me crazy
I hate to be that guy but I have to be. 7 dollars a pack for 25 cents worth of cards. 👍. I won't be buying any of these. I'll wait for chrome to come out though and pick some of that up.
