Fun fact: The Soviet trained Afghan Army held their ground for 2 years before they lost to the Mujahideen. Meanwhile the coalition trained Afghan army has folded in the first days of the attacks after the pullout.
the army only lost because Boris Yeltsin cut fuel exports which crippled the Afghan Military while Mujahedeen was still getting american aid and training.

Wrong The ANA Had Weapons and the Difference Was the ANA Under Dr Najibullah's Government Could Fight, They Whiped The Floor With Pakistan In Jalalabad 1989, The Army Was Very Strong But Only Reason It Collapsed Was Boris Yeltsin Jailed Dr Najibullahs Allies In Moscow and The KGB and Cut Aid, The West, Pakistan, Gulf Arabs, China, and America did not stop backing the Warlords and Since the ANA didnt have any money they had to ground their airforce and the rest is history. Also Dr Najibullah never left Kabul even after the Warlords took over in 1992 he stayed even after the Warlords ran away when the T4liban came in 1996. This also was the reason Pakistan and The T4liban Murdered him. Meanwhile Ashraf Ghani Ran Away and didn't use his airforce and had a cringe army

That's true, but as far as I know, the one who asked for help is a person, not the whole (or part of a) government, so I didn't include the afgahnistan asking for help part. ( I could be wrong though)

We well remember the withdrawal of the last units of the Soviet "limited contingent" from Afghanistan in February 1989, and in August 2021, the end of the US military mission in this country took place before our eyes. The USSR left behind a state that fought and controlled all the major cities of Afghanistan for the next three years, and the United States hastily left the country, without even having time to evacuate all its citizens, because they could not build a state on Afghan territory
