The making friends and halloween talk were SO relatable! This year is my last year in college and one my new year’s goals is to make more friends and deepen my current friendships. I feel like i’ve gone my whole college career being too aloof and indifferent to my classmates and potential friends, and i also had some pretty rough anxiety issues, so I can’t help but think i’m experiencing the consequences of that now. But this is the year i’m gonna change that😤 the fact that you, an “influencer” also face these challenges just makes me realize a lot of people are probably struggling with the same thing and i’m not as alone as i think😊

Artist and fellow kpop fan here! I was listening to your talk about how K-culture has influenced your self-perception ( 17:40 ). Personally, I love drawing the trapezius muscles, especially since it can add so much flow to a portrait or give it that added realism. Every time I get insecure about my features, I just think that some artist out there probably LOVES drawing them.

the shoulder thing is super valid! china also has a similar beauty standard with the 90 degree shoulders…for me, i always think of actress liu yifei who has beautifully sloped shoulders! she is known as a historical picture of classic beauty as she could fit perfectly in ancient times/beauty standards. i hope k-culture doesn’t influence the way you view yourself too harshly :( KBS goes in waves & trends die out. i personally think you are incredibly beautiful & absolutely love your features, i wish you the best 🥰

I also didn’t really like my sloped shoulders and then my friend who has straighter shoulders told me how envious they were of mine and how romantic the slopes shoulders are and reminded me that all the Greek goddesses and like old statues of women have them and it’s seen as so pretty in so many cultures. 7:36 same. I'm cured (lmaoo) now, but I still remember the utter hours of stress I'd go through (2016-2018), fixated on trying to make eyeliner make sense on my eyes. My eye shape is between almond/hooded/monolid and it means that I couldn't follow the big eye squad tutorials and altho the few monolid tutorials I did find helped more often, it still wasn't right. I had to take advice from everywhere and trial and error everything. I still haven't figured out how to apply eyeshadow because I've always struggled with creating the illusion of "depth" in my eyelids. I don't know if it's the eyeshadow I use, the brush, or how my eyelids are. If I had something like your content back then I'm sure it would have been so inspirational haha

hey girl! i know this may be late since the video was from october, but if you’re wanting to achieve the 90 degree shoulder line just practice good posture and train your shoulders and back! (rear delt flys, shoulder press, lat pull down, rows, etc). your traps are very soft but i think you’re right in terms of your posture. i am the same where i tend to slouch and pull my chest inwards while working or when i’m stressed.

hi i just wanted to say that I love your videos and that i completely relate to a lot of what you said in the video today. i have also recently gotten into kpop and i have been picking myself apart so much more. i am noticing things that are physically not possible for me to have and i feel as though i am lacking in some way or that i am not beautiful because of this. i do think one thing that has been helping is to remind myself that i am just built different than them and that doesn’t mean worse; my body was just made to do a different job than their’s and my life dictates that i need to have a different build than them because that’s what’s best for me and that’s okay

I used to get canker sores when I had braces. I recommend putting Orajel on them. It really helps!!
