I hope she never loses her passion like I did for art tbh. I still do it but the way I think about it is to improve, improve, improve and create the most amazing, most realistic or fantastic piece which could feature in big exhibitions. It soon starts to become a chore and you lose yourself on the way. I hope it never happens to her, you’re stuck in that state of wondering why you wasted so much time for nothing which you ended up hating. With no time spent playing, it will be much harder for her if she becomes like me.

UA-cam Sings! if you work hard enough, stay clear on your goals, follow through on what you want to do, promote yourself, follow up on opportunities you can see there’s a lot of things you can do.
You can become a comic write on an online platform, some companies for web comics like lezhin pay 40,000 while webtoon artists who get featured get 2000 a month starting off with potential to make more.
You can also become a freelance animator, UA-cam is a perfect platform for that and you could use apps such as Patreon as an extra income boost as long as fans like what you’re doing.
Open commissions on other platforms too, you can make money if you’re dedicated and follow through to your artistic potential. Be sure to advertise and promote your art until you strike gold, who knows you could be an illustrator for the next big thing.
Stay dedicated, don’t be a starving artist, you can do it dude.

okay, respect to her and all for coping with such a tight schedule while being able to achieve so many things. sorry, but I’ve seen her in my school, and she’s definitely NOT in the GEP. somehow the programme stated that she is in the GEP, but she’s only in GEP Chinese (which is basically when the GE and mainstream students have Chinese lessons together). the producers need to get this kind of information right. the workload between the GEP and mainstream is absolutely different. trust me, I’m a GE student and the workload is terrible. then again, Annan is very talented so as I said, respect to her.

most primary 3 kids (9 years old) take a set of 3 tests: maths, chinese and a general test? (idk it's sort of like a logic test). if you score in the top 10% you move onto round 2. then the top 1% (of the whole cohort) can join get but it's optional. as a former gep kid idk how much getting into gep has to do with future success in life, seeing as some kids bloom later in life and stuff like attitude matters too, not just smarts... but the workload is heavier and you get to do a lot more projects that stretch you in different ways. basically it's just trying to stretch the brains of kids who likely find their normal schoolwork slower and want to be challenged more.

The usual story of a Tiger Mother to the media: "I felt guilty that she don't have much time to play with her friends." Well, why do you sign her up for so many classes? Don't push your dream of math whiz and rhythmic gymnast into a kid. I have seen it happen to a classmate who is the best student in high school (gymnastic, math whiz, ballet, piano and etc.) and no one knew she got depression until she broke down in the university and went for therapy. She has a lot of high achiever acquaintance but no one to call a real friend. My childhood is different from others too. My childhood memories are full of books, calculation, reading and pencils. I didn't get to feel how to play outside nor have friends with the outside world. So whenever my classmates ask me to join to play with them I would always say no to them but because I'm embarrassed that I would look like a weird person trying to figure how the game is played. I hope this lovely girl is getting enough rest. 💖

    Please continue reading!
I am currently studying at Raffles Girls' Primary in the GEP stream but I have never (and I mean never (the GEP community here is really small and closely-knit) seen her around the school. Being in Primary 6 already, that gives me two years of being in GEP with her so its really unlikely that she really is in the GEP. Moreover, the worksheets she was doing were not GEP worksheets. Of course, what she could have meant by GEP Chinese and math Olympiad was being in the intermingling program with the GEP and in the Math Olympiad program. if this is the case, she could have better phrased it by saying, "I'm in the intermingling program with the GEP for Chinese and was selected for Math Olympiad courses by the school." But this brings up another problem with the part where she says that she gets a lot of homework because of her activities(Math Olympiad and Chinese intermingling) which I don't believe is true since the intermingling hardly gives you any more homework than the GEP kids usually get.
I'm not trying to hate. For someone at just ten years old, she has definitely earned a ton of achievements.
