Hi Chuck. This might be the best comment I've ever had! Glad you liked it. Telling you now, seize the day, get that CNC and have some fun with it. Love you brother. Steve
Hi Peter, thanks for the nice comments and for taking the time to let me know you liked the idea. it happens my shop is under going a major improvement just now it's completely torn up, things are stacked everywhere and I can't measure that for you. I'm thinking it's three to four inches but I do know it's well within the limits of the manual focus ring on the laser.
great job i really enjoyed watching it. very creative hope you do more. thank you.

I would be interested in knowing where you purchased your rotary laser from?
Ron, it is homemade.

Darkened safety goggles, if so what number?
Haven't seen a number associated with them. Simply described as "laser safety goggles"
Hi Steve, I am fascinated with how you did this DIY build. It looks and works great. I first saw this when you first posted it but I enjoy watching it again. You are aware of my Rotary Pen Accessory©🇨🇦 for engraving 360 degrees on pen blanks. I am interested in hearing about your focal length, the distance from the diode to the work piece? I have had the best results by using about 3 inches. Nice Cryptex...
