Posted on my facebook account. Another cause on a system wide "video flicker" is from bad capacitors (high ripple ) on the 12 volt rail of the power supply
John great point, I really did not address hardware failures, but they are not as common.
Lenovo Ryzen Laptop:
I did all of those options, but the screen still flickered.
I re-installed the AMD drivers, that did not work.
I re-installed the video card using a Microsoft default VGA driver, that still did not work.
I will now get another SSD and re-install windows to see if the flickers stop.
Note: if i AnyDesk into my laptop from my desktop, the screen does not flicker in AnyDesk on my desktop.
Lenovo Ryzen Laptop are premium laptops I would contact customer service if it is still under warranty. The SSD will not solve the problem. You may have a video chip or display failure.
