I'm cosplaying as Ichigo for an upcoming con and one of my Christmas presents was her weapon toy! I just looked at the box and it's from Korea! It also came with a really cute puzzle and a print, but it was veeerrryyyyy expensive lol. It also lights up and makes noise
3:48.. That's sure is a creepy voice effect... 6:21 LOL That looks as though it was edited on Microsoft paint! XD Anyway I do like the Korean dub, to me it's kinda like the English dub done right.
silverdaleks1 That's only because the Korean video source wasn't high quality (the only way to get some of the episodes is through low quality VOD on the SBS website). I have VHS copies of the first few episodes and the paint jobs are actually pretty well done.

Laia92 The music in the 2nd half of the series have the same instrumental changes in all dubs that managed to go that far, which will be mentioned in the next video. It's pretty safe to assume that it's something the original creators did for international distribution (why they didn't also do it for the first half is beyond me XD).
HikaYagami Ah, I didn't know about it. Then, I'll wait for the next video.Ah, another "censorship" I remember now (I'll NEVER forgive them for that): Aoyama (in Japanese) says "I love you" three times: episodes 27, 38 and 52. Ok, in the Italian version, Mark says "Ti amo" ("I love you" between lovers) only in episode 27, because in episodes 38 and 52 he says "ti voglio bene" (I don't know how translate it in English... it means "I love you", but you can say "ti voglio bene" to your friends, or parents, too. "Ti amo" is a lot more serious, and you can say that ONLY to your lover). Why that?! The episode 52 is a fatal context, and the episode 38 is probably the most romantic of the entire series, how can you say "ti voglio bene" to your girlfriend?
Laia92 That is kind of weird. It was the exact opposite in Japanese. In 27 and 38, he said "daisuki" which can range between "I really like you" to "I love you", depending on context (It's used the most between people in relationships). In 52 he says "aishiteru" which is rarely ever used in real life because how strong the word is (it goes way beyond the "I love you" that's said in English). So Aoyama saying this right before his supposed death was a very important moment.
HikaYagami that's because in the Italian dub of the animes they usually ease the dialogues. "Ti amo" is a very strong word, and maybe they think the children could... shock? In a lot of animes they translate "Ai shiteru" with "ti voglio bene". Rather, I'm surprised they let "ti amo" instead of "ti voglio bene" in episode 27, it's a very rare case for the Italian dub.
You brought me back in time! I first saw the anime when I was... 7?! I thought it was later! I remember I borrowed a TMM school journal from a friend of mine and, imitating Minto, I broke a vase of flowers :'D backpacks, pencilcases and dolls were very popular in that period! Thank you for bringing back these beautiful memories! :3
I get excited whenever you make TMM videos. Im glad they are more frequent than ever before. Im pretty sure you've talked about the video games (the GBA and PS1 games) but it would be cool if you covered them both in one video with more detail if thats cool. They seem to be obscured from the internet even I cant find the PS1 game anywhere! x_x
9:10 - It makes me wish it was in the actual series... Just look at that! But maybe it wouldn't be possible since it looks a little too similar to the Moon Kaleidoscope in Sailor Moon.
Hika yagami I'm trying to find episodes of the korean dub of tokyo mew mew berry berry mew mew is because mew mew international youtube account got deleted and tried to go to the sbs website and I failed please help me.

HikaYagami Hey! Awsome video! I can't wait for part 2 to come out!!! :D Btw, why nobody likes "Mew Mew Power"? It's just not the same as "Tokyo Mew Mew" and it's interesting edit... Songs are great to my opnion :D But I don't like Serbian (my native language) dub :/ Anyway, you're awsome!! ;)
+PrayashLand Both mean the same thing in English, along with "alphabet". I would've preferred to say Hangul but I didn't have the confidence to say it properly XD.
I started watching your videos years and years ago when I was obsessed with Tokyo Mew Mew! It's so cool that you're still making videos about it, and I feel like I'm learning and understanding more. Send me an ask on tumblr if you want some little art for your videos, I'm Abynyior.tumblr.com
I really Like Mew Mew and i think we are more Lucky then other countries wich Mew Mew is for stupid kids XD 4kids ruined TMM and trasform it to a show for kids while in Japan os an anime for girls between 15-16 yearsPS:I'm Italian and I can't speak English so well XD
Ooh, this is interesting! I've wanted to know more about dubs from other countries for a while now :) Side note: I actually found a piece of Korean Tokyo Mew Mew merchandise, a little notebook with a snap clasp, at a garage sale-type thing put on by my friend's high school. Yes, I bought it.

Is it just me or is the voice actress of Deep Blue the same as Aqua Regina in Mermaid Melody? They sound so...familiar XD
