When they said Irish, I was waiting for them to absolutely destroy the accent. And was pleasantly surprised when they didn't. That was actually really good. Well done!
I noticed whenever British people try an American accent, it sounds like a stereotypical Californian accent.
And whenever yanks try a British accent, It always sounds like a 1950's posh London accent!
^yeah, if im watching tv and an american tries to put on a british accent it sounds old English and i can assure everyone if you were to go to any place in England you would have a very minimal chance of hearing an old English accent-no offence to anyone who may take offence
Jack Evans the comment was just an observation no need to get defensive besides i'm pretty sure most Americans are aware that we don't do a proper modern day British accent but we try anyways since it sounds so much nicer to speak that way than a normal american accent...i think just about everyone I have ever met wished they had a British accentxD

Sara Yasmeen I think that's generally the case with accents. I mean if you look at most English and Scottish women (I'm not certain about Welsh and Irish, so I've intentionally left them out in case I'm wrong about them), they have very deep voices, whereas American women often tend to sound more high-pitched.

South American is not the same as southern United States. You guys said South American and gave us a southern accent. Here in the states, South America is a continent in itself consisting of Mexico, Brazil, Columbia etc Just figured I'd point that out :p

ParaditeRs Really? In England, the boudary between North and South America is debated, but Mexico is definitely taught as North America. Everything below, like the Caribbean, and the mainland down to Panama is either considered North or South (and some people say Central America, like a different continent). Also, I can't verify this, but I've been told that in South America, they get taught that America is a whole continent (Canada down to Chile).
***** Actually, you're right, I included Mexico when I shouldn't have. Mexico is considered a part of North America as well.

The "no likey no lighty" accent was actually a Lancastrian accent, not a Yorkshire accent. Paddy McGuinness is from Lancashire not Yorkshire :') (from a yorkshirewoman)

Aimee Catherwood Thing is, when people refer to Ireland. They refer to the republic of Ireland. Not the northern Ireland controlled by the UK.

I live in the heart of Florida with some of the most southern people ever. A few things:
They (because I'm from up north but moved here) tend to say mmm'kaaay? and alright?
ALL vowels are stressed.
For example: if you are saying 'cheese', it sounds like 'chays'
As a northerner I can't cope with their attempts at scouse and Yorkshire haha!! 🙉🙊😂

Ive known some australian people and i find it very noticeable personally. (I'm from canada) its kind of cool to think that how you speak seems so normal for you but across the world it sounds so different :)

Actually, in Europe they learn that south and north America are just one continent. Unlike the Us, where we learn that they're two differnt continents
In England they teach us that North and South America are different places
America is just one continent. But in almost every state we talk different. What I think they meant by South American is where Texas and Tennessee and Florida is, but those stats speak way different.

I'm from America, and I love hearing people's takes on Southern American or American accents in general because they always accent their "r" way more than we actually do. Everyone always says hamburgers as if that is the only think we eat, sleep, and breath. LOL It is just funny to see how other people perceive us.
