Fantastic you guys are getting episodes up on here 👍
😁🎯🇨🇦
Agreed
Yes keep this up! I know you can get the podcast but this is so much more!
About time you posted this. Need 3 hours. Uncut, everyday.
Draisatl scores 4 goals in the loss: "We weren't good enough"
Marner sucks in the loss(es): "I don't care what the media thinks"
@@PolarBearPredator Therre's a reason why Draisatl has won eight Stanley Cups and four Conn Smythe Awards, you know. Or maybe it's 10 and five, I forget.
Hard work beats Talent When Talent doesn’t work hard. This is what this Leafs team is.
It’s about time you upload the episodes to UA-cam! Good stuff!
"We don't care what you guys say. We just focus on ourselves." That's the problem. They focus on themselves. They forget where their salary comes from. They focus on themselves instead of the people, like me for example, who have believed in this team every minute since my mother let me stay up to watch a whole game in 1966. They are supposed to be doing this for us. Not them. They're professionals. Maybe they shouldn't be. Remember when Derek Sanderson joined the WHA. He became the highest paid player in professional hockey and Harry Sinden told him that was a mistake... that he couldn't handle that much money. Maybe the players today don't deserve that much money. They certainly aren't earning it. Guys making under a million dollars are doing the work.
When I think of a player who always gave 100% Wendel Clark comes to mind, nobody on this Leafs roster has any resemblance to Wendel Clark.
I agree 💯 percent
@@TheCorre-sn1nn who is Wendel Clark?
Try out for the team then Dupuis.
@@TheCorre-sn1nn They have been trying to replace WENDEL CLARK since the day he retired and to this day they have failed . I have heard the stories that Wendel was in pain from his back being messed up for a big part of his career and it amazed me because to watch him play you would never think it . The guy really was all heart and he never once bashed the fans or his team mates . This team losing does not bother me its the I DONT CARE attitude that bothers me because that is the way they play .
Hour 2 and 3 please... love you guys
Yes, totally agree! Would the whole podcast on UA-cam!
They did today thankfully
Imagine making over 10 million dollars a year and taking no responsibility.
Exactly. This guys have terrible mindsets. Now look at other teams when they lose. Pissed upset think they should have done more. This squad. Oh what we did is ok and we got to keep doing it. HUH? But you lost?
is there anything you would change about your game? marner - no. right after shitting the bed against mtl and being eliminated. screw this soft pos
Mackinnon showing emotions the previous year before winning the cup stating he was pissed and he has not accomplished anything in the playoffs is what I want to at least see from this group. Frustrsting
@@megatokyo2100 EXACTLY.
They need to go.
the over praised cant fail generation.
i'm still confused how the leafs are villainizing the media instead of the panthers lmao.
I applaud Chicago fans who only increased their season tickets when they saw a potential in their team recently with the first round pick.
That is a huge problem in TO and looks like people are in an abusive relationship with this organization and will never demand better
Golf small talk mercifully ends at about 6 minutes in.
THANK YOU! And yes. I get wanting to set a light tone but keep it short maybe eh. Or at the very least use time stamps
7:00 exactly actually
man these uploaded visuals are AMAZING
Excellent having episodes up here
Mitch admits by stating he does not care what the media says is him not caring about the end game
Or us fans. We do tend to think a lot of the same things as the media. Not everything obviously, but i think i can agree us fans and the media are on the same page when it comes to this Florida series.
End game was the best marvel has not been same since so F Mitch for not caring
Yes!!!!! love that this is posted thank you
FINALLY you have the show on UA-cam. About GD time!!! 😂
You could replace the entire Florida panthers teams sticks with brooms, and they still beat us tonight. No heart no hope.
I'd say Mitch has made it abundantly clear he doesn't care much about anything. Especially since he got the contract he so badly needed to get that severely handicapped the Leafs cap situation.
Golf and the Leafs go hand in hand.
16:10 The problem with it being Florida, of all teams in the playoffs, is that Florida just came back from a 3-1 deficit themselves. They know very well, that a series isn't over, until it's over. They won't be caught napping.
Toronto fans wanted "Florida". Well, you got em. In every possible way. As for Toronto, fans? Maybe, next century. I dunno.
I think the media needs to leave players alone. It's the same tiresome questions game in and game out.
Love it when they talk about Marner lol
If you are making 2M (half gone to tax) at the end of a contract, I will buy "playing for your life) When you are making 7 to 10 M or more, with term left, it's just the start of golf season. People think Lou Lamoriello, is heartless, but he has been there done that or seen it enough to know, you don't give a kid the moon and expect he will function like he lives on earth. "we did our best it just didn't happen for us"
The Top 3 Leafs get 11 mill with over 90% upfront to avoid taxes...they only pay 15% capital gains.
PLAY ANGRY or be done!
I was talking with someone and indicated I would find a new team to cheer on instead of the Leafs. This guy told me I'm not a true Leaf fan if I'm thinking of pulling out. My answer to him: I'm 78 and have been a Leaf fan since I could walk and talk. So a loyal Leaf fan for over 70 years I've given them, and now, I think it's time they thought about me. How about giving back to me for a change instead of me doing all the giving. 70 yrs of giving and someone is going to tell me I'm not a loyal Leaf fan. This is a two way street. I give 70 yrs of my heart and soul to the Leafs and they give what, a cup in 1967 and nothing since. What is it these guys want from me now, blood? Time to get off their high horses and put in an honest day of working for a change. Most people in this world work a lot harder than these soft mushrooms and get paid less in their entire lifetimes than these leaf stars make in six months. Enough already. Don't tell us you don't read what the reporters are saying, maybe listen and read and it might put a purr under your saddle to put a little more effort into your job. Too bad we don't have a Paul Maurice to light a fire under these guys and remind them how the game should be played.
Time to move on from Mitch and Matthews. Unbelievable regular season players. Complete different players during the playoffs. The leafs will never make it far in the playoffs with the core 4.
Tavares is even worse imo. Dude is making $11 million to wear the C and hasn't lead this team anywhere.
@@astrobot3038 totally agree, but he is going to be hard to move with his no move clause and hefty price tag.
It doesn't matter who the core 4 for Toronto is...if they don't develop the killer instinct in the playoffs this cycle will continue into oblivion.
@@benyben9807 Marner and Matthews both have NMCs that kick in on July 1st so those three will all be hard to move. Nylander is the easiest contract to deal but he's a bargain for the Leafs.
@@randyburnett2941 What would matter is moving on from any of these large contracts so they can add higher quality depth players.
I need more videos like these!
yes plz keep posting like this
Mitch doesn't care about a lot of things.
Except $11M
winning being one of them
Except video games and his dog
@@MrPhilionaire COD, red bull, his dog and dancing to fruity 2000's pop music. Would be fine if he had some juice on the ice but he doesn't.
@@angrydalailama6089 he’s a huge douche.
When trapped, you only two scenarios, surrender or fight like hell to get out . Win live another day ,go down fighting , lose and brace for impact
Can anyone guess what rhymes with "Mitch"?
Rocky movies we're the best of all time. The most life inspiring movies. This is the mentality they SHOULD have but they don't.
Keep uploading these please n thanks
Their not idiots their very aware of the media and the narrative and pressure. I think marner is just trying to prepare himself for it in the off season. And i get it he cant run from it like some of the guys, hes a toronto boy and its all over the tabloids, i dont blame the guy. I think he just meant that their focusing on what they can do but i dont think theres anything to scrutinize.
This is what happens when you give the media something, they stretch it out to an hour.
Full show on UA-cam please
If they don't listen, how do they know that things are being said?
And Toronto won with Marner getting the winner!! Marner does care souly as well as heartly he's tough on himself & beating himself up acknowledging he's not playing good so media compounds that issue so Marner barks back to protect himself to lesson his own self ridiculment..
Tizz it Dizz
11:33 O'Neill gets it.
If it's a "nothing comment" why is there a whole segment on your show?
dont the 10 million dollar players get embarassed being held pointless by the minimum salary players
Pressure love this🇨🇦🇺🇸😁
We never hear the Leaf’s core players say they want to win for the fans, because in reality it’s all about themselves. ✔️
Golfing is like fishing 🤣🇨🇦
Welcome to The Matt Murray Experience
Mitch Marner is the most fragile “superstar”- or whatever you want to call him-in the entire league.
FYI 7:41 is when actual leafs hockey talk starts.. skip to miss a meaningless bro golf story no one cares about.
This is great😁✔🇨🇦
Toronto has no business being road faves
The arrogance and opulence of Toronto reminds me of the description of Rome in ancient times. The Evil Empire met its doom! 😭😭😭🤭
Welcome to round 2💥🇨🇦🎯
It’s nice out. Great for golf. ⛳️
The Leafs haven’t won 4 straight playoff games since 2001
They're done. Florida's playing too good to lose 4.
You guys are hilarious. Leafs don’t a chance. No fire.
Yes!
The partys over guys! Time to put the work boots on!
I didn’t know boots were allowed on the golf course! FOOOOOORE! 🏌♂🏌♂⛳
If he doesn't listen, he wouldn't be angry.
Mitch is soft 🍦😂 on the verge of tears. Matthews looks so so full of life too 😂
Marner is playing like his playoff beard.
if they loose it will be interesting to see whose head will fall.....................blow up this team
Marner is worried, easily seen in his post press in the clip you showed. the question is, is why is he worried. he can't fix his game. the kid is scared to death of a hard hit. you can thank the bruins for that in the 2018 series. ruined the kid. he's toast. the backbone of this leafs team is scared to death in the playoffs when the going gets tough.
Where are hour 2 and 3 ??? whats going on here ?
marner probably had a few Bud Light before he talked to the media....heard he's dating dylan mulvaney...!!!...is it true..????
They’re about the same size, and about just as physical, so it might be a good match
Rent free in your head 😂
Nah! That's Cole Caufield your thinking about.
To be blunt..
Marner's comment came across as "I'm a Toronto Maple Leaf. I helped this team win a playoff series for the first time in 19 years. I know, living in Toronto, the refs are screwing us, because we're playing better. I mean, they're Florida. Everyone knows they don't care about hockey 🤷"
Aka, he sounds like a fan that happens to be on the ice.
We can't say he deserves ALL of the shit, he was the guy who most helped them win their only game against the Panthers.
But there's also Matthews with, what, 1 assist?
This series was the fans 'asking for Florida' and the Panthers using that as momentum and motivation.
The Leafs didn't have ANY of that. Why would it? Why would Toronto look at the '17th best team' (points wise, 15th in wins) sweat Florida?
Aside from Bobrovsky being the most experienced goalie in any series in the second round. Aside from beating the best team in regular season history. Toronto had 2 goals in every game for the last 7 games and went 2-5.
And some fans will say 'well they still won two games, so there's that, right?'
Yeah, there's that.
I watched the Flyers and Kings come back from 0-3 deficits and BOTH teams played a defense first game where they utilized turnovers and top goaltending. That wasn't Toronto.
Game 5 was their best game of the series (after a piss poor start) but NONE of them were complete efforts.
(On the 'not Columbus' Bedard thing, he actually went to the worst team. The Hawks had the fewest pointed efforts, or games with points produced. And here's where that matters: if people are talking the Flames being better than the Panthers [despite 4 more wins], then sure. The Hawks were a 'better team'.)
can you imagine... it's 2034, the Toronto Maple Leafs for the first time in history, make it past the 3rd round and they are playing for the Stanley Cup in game 7... but it's a Monday night, and their star player, Jim Smith-Jones-Graham-MacKenzie has his DMD (Designated Maintenance Day as negotiated in the CBA) as Mondays... He declines to play, of course. But, their opponent, the Tokyo Trans-Dragons has a star player who's DMD is Mondays and Fridays, but he decides to play. The Trans-Dragons win the Cup but under controversy, and the NHLPA files a grievance because the team asked him to waive one of his DMDs for this one game...
It's so frustrating to see teams respond to a loss by hanging a snowman on the other team.
It was just a regular canned answer. Devoid of passion in his voice. Meh I dont expect anymore or less from him in front of the camera, but I do expect more of him and others on the ice.
Love Chris Pronger 😁🇨🇦
They are not playing well at all but this is why they are tuning you guys out. The media badgers them all the time then you guys talk about it on your shows. It never ends in the media circuit and people wonder why players can't stand the canadian media.
Wow this is deep🇨🇦😁
The one team that can’t bitch to the media is that team
How unpredictability great this has been 🥊😁🇨🇦🇺🇸🤣
Of course they listen and read the media , a rock star on tour always read the reviews of the show and take impressions
😂😂I love this 🇨🇦🤣
I have been saying all season Woll is the Leafs BEST Goalie!
The Leafs best chance of winning is with Joe Woll.
I think he should have started in game #1 !
Watch the Leafs win tomorrow !
Just because Woll is in net !
2/ 1 Leafs !
Imagine what the media will say, if the Leafs win 2/ 1 and Woll is the #1 Star of the game !
Mike.😮
It's the blame game. Instead of taking ownership of their shotty play, they need someone to blame when things don't go their way! A sign that they still need to grow and mature more if they're ever gonna win anything in the NHL.
O-Dog is the best on TSN 👑
My interpretation of Marners comment was that he's had it here in Toronto. I don't think the players have that much freedom to speak like that...I could be wrong though but the players do have to uphold a certain standard . They get training on how to speak with the media too I believe. I think he should have just said were going to just focus on 1 game and nothing more and compete to the best of there abilities. He takes thinks too personal I think...he must realize that ANY NHL TEAM BEING DOWN 3-0 the same script will be made bc its rare for an NHL team to come back. I don't think ppl are saying there not talented enough. Too offended I think.
That little whiny playoff ghost can go piss off then.
Why is Marner always the scapegoat
I wonder when was the last time Mitch M danced the griddy. He don’t look to happy.
It was protecting his true feelings 😁🇨🇦
leafs are built to win skills comps not stanley cups
Couple of comments on Mitch Marner's comments: 1) he clearly knows what the media is saying to say he doesn't care what they are saying 😂, and; 2) maybe him not listening is part of the problem...
The captain should set the tone for others to follow. JT has worn the C for so many years and hearing comments like this speak to a lack of leadership all the way around. Keefe, JT, Reilly and Matthews.
Also if Marner ever looked at hockey videos or especially Leafs videos on UA-cam in the last month or more, UA-cam will send him more related videos. We all know he checked himself out in the first round or at the end of it. So UA-cam will be sending him all the Leafs news videos, and it is pretty hard to not see or read the titles.
Instead of putting that failure pain and anger into playing better, he casts it outward at people reporting on his work.
They should show Marner videos of Doug Gilmour and Wendal Clark playing in the playoffs in 1993. That is what heart and determination looks like.
Jack is shadowing Connor 🇨🇦🇺🇸😁
Woodcroft is surprisingly traditional ✔🤣🇨🇦
Evander kane needs to make noise 🥊😄🇨🇦
You know how it goes he doesn't need to look he gets random people giving him a run down.
Sorry, it's crazy that we're dumping on NBA guys when hockey players play, as a top defenseman, maybe 30 minutes (half) of a game.
NBA players play 12 FEWER minutes (48) and guys like Lebron are on the court for 40+.
With half a quarter to play, he's got over 120 minutes these last three games.
That's over twice what a hockey player pulls, in less possible time.
The amount of money for hockey players is less than football or basketball because of two VERY specific factors.
The first is time on the field.
Ideally, in football, it's more than half the time.
60-70%. No hockey player will play 40 minutes in regulation.
In basketball, 40 minutes is 5/6ths of the time. In hockey numbers, that's FORTY NINE MINUTES.
Not triple OT, quad OT, 120+ shots between the teams.
That's regulation.
So if we're talking dollar value, you literally can't compare hockey to other sports or find yourself saying that 'Lebron making 30 million is worthless'. No, paying one line on a hockey team 30 million is worthless.
No team that pays players like that has ever won a Stanley Cup.
It just doesn't happen.
And even in basketball, guys like Lebron and Embiid and Giannis and Curry are simple linchpins that the team uses as a base to win games. They still need a complete effort, but rarely does the bench (of whom there might be 10-14 players) outscore the starting 5.
Because basketball can be a very one dimensional sport.
It's unlike any other sport, but it draws comparisons to hockey due to players having to be dynamic, adaptable, offensively capable, and defensively knowledgeable.
But the similarities end there.
Goaltending is the one area where a single player can drastically change the course of a game, a player who plays the entire game, and often, a player who utilizes load management in order to stay healthy and playoff ready.
And like the NBA, that player rarely ever doesn't play.
Which is probably why most teams have crap games in the playoffs.
Basically, their goalie who might have played 2-3 games in a week during the season is now playing 3-4 games EVERY week.
I don't think the NBA should utilize rest management in the playoffs, but I do see why coaches use it during the season.
People dumped on Tampa for basically using it for Kucherov, and it paid off and a ton of fans were upset about it.
But they still made the playoffs in a great position WITHOUT him.
R u kidding me? Anyone that says they don't "care" , care more than anybody...
Grow up Marner..you're paid far too much not to care. Step up to the plate and show 'em what you got!
Mitch is playing sloppy like he did before he got benched in Anaheim. Unfortunately, with elimination on the horizon, it's too late to bench him in this series.
..Mitch gets $400.000 a goal so....rub salt..
Marner better care what the Fans think.
These two players know 😂how to golf🤣🇨🇦
Let's talk after game 6😂🇨🇦
Game 6 for Edmonton: yes. Game 6 for Toronto: no
Trade Marner for some 80 grit sand paper
They really need to get back in the studio together.
Marner sounds rattled. Love it.
It's time for "Attack Mode game plan ", stay with the 11-7 lineup. If the final outcome is a 8-6 high scoring , wide open affair, so be it. At this time, utilize your top 6 into a transition game. Attempting to play a sound defensive game (3-2 win) is Not working. Leafs need to play on their toes and put Fla on their heels approach. Roll 3 lines Not 4 lines in 5 in 5 situations. Lines that were effective once upon a time-Matthews with Nylander and Jankrok brings more offensive options, O'Reilly with Marner and Tavares (@ LW -less defensive responsibilities on the wall). Remaining 5 fwds , rotate to form 3rd line. These new looking lines may create Panthers different match ups. Defensive mistakes , blunders are inevitable for this group of Leafs, so why not go on "attacking", attempts to play a small/lessen amount of defensive mistakes game (3-2 win) is Not working. Load the top 6, roll only 3 lines, probably more push back then what we've seen. Go Leafs Go
Only thing it’s time for is for changes. Keefe needs to go.
