I wish I would have found videos like this in 2009. I attended an SSPX chapel in 09 and was blown away! I was so excited I told a friend of mine who was in the dioecian seminary about the TLM I went to once. He, without even asking if it was SSPX, FSSP or any other group, said "You can't attend the TLM. They are in schism." After that I slowly lost my faith and by 2015 I was a non practicing Catholic. Then I moved states and my new Bishop announced the FSSP would be coming to our diocese. That is when I learned that the FSSP were not in schism. During my 6 years there I began to learn that the SSPX were not in schism either. I have since moved to another state where there are SSPX, FSSP, and ICKSP within 20 minutes of me. After attending all of them for a short time I decided to attend the SSPX full time as of last year. It has been an amazing parish!
For me personally, I was against the SSPX. I am a member of an FSSP parish and prefer to stay under the catholic bishop. However, I can no longer pretend that SSPX isn’t serving a vital role for Christ. Francis attacking Catholicism and banning the Catholic mass is a stunning act of satanism against the faithful. So I do highly applaud the SSPX for standing firm to Christ.
You would not cease to be under your local Catholic bishop if you attended the SSPX chapels. They do not claim any jurisdiction over the local bishop. Their bishops only exist as auxiliaries (like Bishop Schneider) to provide sacraments and maintain the priesthood (long before and after the existence of the FSSP has ended)...
@@muztan3100 I personally love the FSSP. I hope the traditional movement can somehow unite as a coalition to advance the cause. Seems all the groups fight each other. At least the members do when we all have the same goal.
@@orangemanbadI think a lot depends on personal geography…not all of us have the luxury of attending whichever chapel we individually decide best suits theology and tradition…most of us are limited by where we can drive to within a reasonable time frame! I too attend FSSP, but if a SSPV were around I would probably go there and if the bishop cracks down on my FFSP, I would certainly be grateful for an SSPX. It’s something I may have to seek out in the future depending on the state of the church and mass. I’d better not have too hard an opinion on it!
We, the parishioners of the FSSP, owe everything to Archbishop Lefebvre.
I and many others expect him to be canonized at some point.

SSPX rules! They saved my soul. I can speak because I witness the destruction that happened in the 70's. A dystopian horror...The rape of Beauty Purity and Innocence..I suffered greatly like so many. The Archbishop is a Saint. Ok? Case closed.
Imagine, there was a time when these types of questions were not necessary at all. Pray for a future where, once again, every Catholic is assured that every church and every sacrament is valid and the requirements to enter into and remain in a state of grace were clear.
I asked my Bishop shortly after John Salza was on Matt Fradd's show. He said "I can't tell you not to go" .
JOHN went to SSPX for many years. He also was given an award by the masons in 2019. A sheep in wolf clothing.

Only Bishop Bishop Williamson is not afraid to speak the harsh Truth. He doesn’t sugarcoat it.

I think so in this aspect Bishop Williamson is correct but he is also an “apparitionist” in some aspects. That being said I also don’t think he is really excommunicated.

The nearest SSPX to me is a 2 1/2 hour drive and I don't drive at all. My husband is not a Catholic and would not relocate for my Catholicism when there is a Catholic parish every few blocks in the city I now reside in.
The majority of people cannot attend an SSPX and yet, ever since I converted to Catholicism, I see it as a major issue on the internet. I am not anti-SSPX but too many people are using their distance from one as an excuse to miss their Sunday and Holy Days of obligation.
I have found the best Mass in my area to receive the sacraments and am thankful. There may be days of persecution ahead where we will realize that we took it for granted.
The painful irony of the modernists screaming "schism" and accusing Catholics adhering to Doctrine and Traditions rigidly in accordance with the directions and teachings of The Apostles of it, is possibly an excellent example of an oxymoron, that should be in all dictionaries.
The destructive confusion caused by modernists and all those wanting to adapt to the ways of man and in doing so, deviating from the ways of God and God's one and only Holy Catholic Church seems to be more than just "devisive".

I have one question, what is your view on learning the Catholic prayers in Latin? I really like the Gregorian liturgy and Psalms music and I feel more connected to it in the Latin.
Good videos, well said. Please do a video on the Sunday obligation and when it would or would not apply. Canon law will explain a text book explanation, but there is much outside the box and common sense required by a soul who is trying to keep the Faith and save their soul. It’s not black or white. Too many people will say that you must suffer through a guitar Mass complete with altar girls if that is all there is available, but that just cannot be the case, unless the average person has completely lost the ability to rationalize and think.
SSPX Priests will say it is better you stay home and sanctify Sunday in that manner, rather than attend a Novus Ordo Mass or even Indult TLMs, like FSSP or TLMs offered by Novus Ordo Priests. Perhaps in certain cases the SSPX would advise attending a FSSP Mass once in a while if you have no other option and cannot make a semi regular trip to a SSPX Chapel, but I have heard is said that even FSSP Masses should be avoided due to their compromises with modernist Rome, as well as the close relations with Novus Ordo Bishops where they operate.

On 1st May, 1991, Bishop Ferrario of Hawaii excommunicated certain Catholics of his diocese for attending Mass said by SSPX clergy & receiving a SSPX Bishop for Confirmations. Cardinal Ratzinger , Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, overturned that decision. 🙏
I am a member of the Novus Ordo church, however I was told that I could not receive Holy Communion in the SSPX chapel.

Hello, I am diving deep into Catholicism and your channel (and others) are creating more questions than I ever imagined. What is "Union of Utrecht (Old Catholic)" and how does it relate or not to the SSPX, FSSP? It would be nice to see a video on all these differences. As protestant I thought only we had too many denominations but it seems the Catholic church is not completely united, in a sense. Just seeking more understanding, thank you!
The "Old Catholics" dissented from Vatican One in the 1800s. Utrecht is the town in Holland where the main branch of Old Catholics are headquartered, so they also became known as the "Utrecht group." They rejected the doctrine of Papal infallibility.
This is a mostly separate movement from the various strands of traditional Catholicism, whose quarrel is with Vatican Two.
However, some branches of the Old Catholics have marketed themselves to traditional Catholics as offering the traditional Latin mass, etc. Also, because it's relatively easy to get ordained a priest or consecrate a bishop in the Old Catholic movement, some traditional Catholics have gotten connected to that movement.
@@sanjivjhangiani3243 Thank you for that. I have read some info on Wikipedia about it, so what about it's communion status with the Vatican and how does it affect communion with traditional churches? If you are not in communion with the Vatican does that put them in a fringe category, kind of like Mormons are to Protestants? Just FYI, I'm getting most of my education from apologists like Scott Hahn, Trent Horn, Jimmy Akin and people like them. I might be diving in too deep for someone who is slowly getting the conviction to convert, but then again I think it's important to know. If someone were going the opposite way, there is a HUGE difference between a Baptist and a Mormon or Jehova's Witness...Thanks again.

Pope Benedict lifted the 4 bishops excommunication, implying that the auto-excomm were indeed triggered & was in effect. However Levebvre excommunication were not lifted, is it because he's passed away so no longer necessary to lift? As I understood it is totally possible to lift an excommunication after death, but I don't know what's the implication of that, is it simply to signal to the people that it's fine to pray/seek their intercession, or what..

I've been attending the SSPX for about a year and a half now and I think it's a really good mass. But sometimes I also attend the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church because there's one in my hometown and it's closer. But I do like the beauty of the TLM but the TLM in my areas more than an hour away
