I’m an English 71 year old and had never heard about this song until I watched one of your other Pavarotti videos (I love, love love Nessun Dorma, it makes me cry). I didn’t think these two would sound very good together but I was wrong! It works! Loved this version! Thank you.

Try O Sole Mio, from the same concert as Nessun Dorma, The Three Tenors in concert . Pavarotti with two other world class tenors, I think you would love it.

When you broaden your horizons this is what is in store. They are the opposite really opera and James Brown. But but the bringing together these artist , oh my Lord sublime.

Am a professional classical musician. These two are among my favorite musicians. But above all, you are what it's all about. A lot of people misunderstand the word "amateur". It means "lover of..." The amateur listener is important to us. No hypercritical walls, although that's part of the game. Love your reaction to Pavarotti. Pure and heartfelt. Check out Leontyne Price at her farewell performance at the Metropolitan Opera. 42 minutes ovation. Was there and gotta admit, brought me to tears. The vid has about 10 minutes only of the applause for obvious reasons. Watch it to the end and watch her reaction. Normally in opera, the audience applauds after a major aria. We expect it. The singer nevers goes out of character. Just WATCH what she does. She is still alive today. Her story is one everyone should know.
Thanks, man, for the experience of you. Made my day.

Pavarotti was casting pearls before swine when he sang in genres other than his own. I could never get get on board with the trendy stuff of his performing with pop stars. His voice was meant for bigger and better.

This was part of a series called Pavarotti and Friends which was a concept suggested to him by Princess Diana when he told her he wanted to do a significant charity project. Millions of dollars were raised for charities from 1992 to 2003 for children all over the world.

@@Dej24601 Yes, but a non-watered down concert by Pavarotti would be more worth the ticket price for me, but hey that's just my opinion and giving to charity should not have to include the promise of entertainment but in this screwed up world...

@Andrea Schmall - Well fortunately he was much more open-minded than you are and he saw the beauty and purpose in all types of music. Plus, he introduced many people to opera who wouldn't otherwise have been curious to learn more.
