Hi, when using the auto threading, take the thread to the thread cutter on the side, pull through to shorten the thread, lower the foot, then pull the threader lever down.

Hey Hanifa, I love this machine it has a bigger hoop for embroidery, and with websites like Embroidery Library, you can get some amazing designs. Duchess (I name all my machines) is a good design and as long as you use an embroidery needle for your projects it will be a breeze to use. Let me know if you buy one.

I brought my brother serger when I lived in Hawaii, I never took it out the box until I landed back in England 4 years later so honey you are doing better than me. Also, I will be doing some new things this year. I will start to sell kits of sewing projects so my community can sew along and learn new skills and gain confidence. I will defo have a clutch bag kit for you to sew. See you then
Hi Alicia Burnett. Yes you must put a bobbin in. Also you fill the bobbin with a fine thread. Usually white in colour. Just type in embroidery machine bobbin thread into Amazon and it will bring it up. Read your manual take your time and have fun 🤩

Hi Tiana Milliani if you have the green light on and nothing is happening then my guess is your presser foot must still be up. Hence no stitching. Hope that helps
nancy pollard the machine cost about £1,400 at a dealership. I brought mine from a shopping channel at a greatly reduced price. That’s why I never included the price. It will depend on where you live and what offers you can get. It’s a great machine I love 💕 it. If you think you need a bigger hoop then save for the next one up. Hope this helps. Good luck
I hate my machine just had it serviced again. Got the quilt I made. Doing the last step. The information on the screen kept saying retread I did over and over. The design was getting out of line . When I took it off to look, the top payer energy was messy and the back was worse. I even change thread in top and bobbin. Still was terrible. I was using sulky thread. I got this machine to relax but it makes me tense. Yuck.
I have just bought this machine and enjoyed your Tutorial, but there was just one small thing which you did wrong when you were threading the machine, you did it with the foot down, this closes the little window for you to go around, if you had left the foot up the window would have been open to make threading easier.

Hi Sue, no its not that advanced. But you may be able to download an appliqué design and add it to your machine, then you can appliqué away. :-)

I believe Brother has discontinued this machine, check their website for updates.
How do you put a gap between the words?
Also how do you go down to a new line?
When you are in the keyboard page there is a _ button I believe this is the one you need to create a space between words.

Can you embroider a full sentence at one time.
Hi Marie yes it can stitch out a full sentence but it will only be able to stitch the length of your hoop.
I bought mines on 2015. Except it has the d at the end ..because it does the Disney characters .
My next embroidery machine will also have Disney and a colour screen, I think it's time for me to upgrade. Thanks for the comment.

Terrible instructions on threading the needle. All you can see is your hand at the critical point!
