- The wet season is almost here, and at King Ash Bay Fishing Club that means the season is coming to an end. The last fishing comp of the year was being held over the weekend, so I decided to enter the two day comp and try my luck.

Enjoyed those last two videos Mikey. Centre Island looks great I have only been halfway to Centre Island I got dropped off by some blacks on a rocky island to fish. They picked us up after they dropped fuel off at Centre Island was great fishing 😊

I got to fish the Livingston Trout Derby on the Yellowstone river in the 60's. First prize was a bag of 1,000 silver dollars. (Morgan Heads). Fished it 3 times. Never won. Came close once.
1,000 silver dollars? I have no idea what that's worth today, but it sounds like a lot.

Hi mate. I’m always buying new cameras. I must have 10 GoPros now. Haha. I shoot everything in 4K now too. Even though I upload in 1080. So that probably makes a difference too.
Well the clarity on this video was stark and I am not knocking your usual sharpness, but I guess the lighting at that time of day and the color pallet was impressive but even you looked sharp?
Again No pun, I reckon Go Pro are the Baine of all video makers with their unexplained over heating shut downs.
I notice you even reaching over some times to check the dang things are still running btu they still fit best for my uses so I guess its just what it is.
Keep the great content coming in, Hey Mad Mullet has he ever done a stint on Aussie Gold Hunters? just a dead ringer for a young fella there I reckon.

Gday Mikey, Had a nice trip to KAB 2 weeks ago, Met Ash, a Nice guy and very approachable. You put me onto the Bay and will be making it a yearly trip from Mid-North Coast NSW. Really enjoy your Vids and now I can more than relate. Keep them coming. Would be great to have a History Video about the Club and King Ash Bay the development etc, Just a suggestion.
Glad you had a good trip mate. It's definitely my favourite place. Maybe we can dig deeper into the history of King Ash Bay in our podcast. Yes mate. Some would rate wild caught salt water Barra as some of the nicest fish to eat. And it would be hard to disagree with them.

Up from perth and keep hearing its been way worse than usual.
At King Ash Bay we have had zero rain. Usually by now we should have had at least a couple of good storms. But I’m sure the rain will come.

Sounds amazing for you to have the wet season coming, but where I live in QLD,.it's dry 365 days a year, plus we have bush fires by us as well

Way to pull out a win for team Cunningham! So what now, do the roads flood out in the rainy season?
Yea sometimes mate. Only for a few days at a time after big rains. Highways get flooded further away as well, making it hard for people to travel here. There’s also the threat of a cyclone or 2 every wet season.
So it’s not really a “tourist friendly” time of year over the wet. Although King Ash Bay doesn’t ever actually close. You can visit 365 days a year if you’re super keen.
