LIVE: Demolition of Parkland school building where 17 died begins

- A crew is scheduled to begin tearing down the three-story classroom building where 17 people died in the 2018 mass shooting at Parkland’s Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. The victims’ families have been invited to watch the first blows and hammer off a piece themselves if they choose.

Oh wow. I had no idea that was the plan for this building. I’m glad that it’s being demolished. I visited the site (from Wisconsin) and it was a haunting feeling. The memorial is beautiful though and I chose to spend most of my time there. RIP all the fallen beautiful humans who lost their lives too soon ❤

When you have nothing to live for. After being bullied by class mates for years
Until public schools start punishing bullies. This will continue to happen.
@@ryanjones9881that was part of it but he was loaner he really had no friends and also his adopted mothers death played a role into it

I was thinking the same thing… they’re going to expose a lot of morbid sights by opening up those classroom walls and leaving it… I doubt they cleaned the whole building. Rest in peace to those lost in there :(
There are residential homes across the street on two sides of the school. Any other method such as an implosion could cause damage to nearby homes.
This had to be agonizing to watch not only because of what happened but the lack of knowledge on how to take a building this size down. I have never seen such a joke

They did redo the whole library from Columbine HS. I read from their website that when they were changing the carpets from that library it was heavily stained with brown blood marks. The ceiling also had blood on and in it.. it was evaporating through the foam ceiling holes..
I wonder (seriously) how many young teens have been on psychotropic (mental health) drugs before they snap. So many senseless tragedies in life.
Its the drugs that sets these kids off.

Wow, now I’m starting to think what if on 9/11 the Twin Towers never collapsed and the Firefighters who ran in that day were able to still contain the inferno and the building was in tact, would they still have demolished it anyway? I mean realistically speaking as a Probationary Firefighter myself I understand it was gonna go anyway unfortunately regardless of what Building Type it was, it was a Type I Structure the most fire resistant type of building but it doesn’t mean it was fire proof and it was just gonna buy alot of time for people to either get out or for the Firefighters to run in and fight the fire and save as many lives as they can!

@@alexjones9038 this event happened in 2018. and if there is still any blood, just clean it up. That is what trauma cleaners are for.
