Late 80s. early 90s the working class of Liverpool, Manchester, London and Leeds, started holding these massive warehouse parties, where people would get together and dance to this new form of Electronic Music that had just exploded onto Europe (The UK, Belgium, Netherlands and Germany) from Chicago and Detroit. These countries would go on to become the meccas/pillars of Electronic Music. Those parties are still imitated to this day. Some of the world’s biggest club brands/festivals (some taken their brands global) are from Manchester and London (Creamfields, Global Gathering, Ministry of Sounds, Fabric, Motion, The Warehouse). In the 90s the best Dance acts/bands came from the UK. UK Hard House, UK Garage morphed into Dubstep. Some of the best commercial Dance bands/music, commercial deep house stuff still comes from the UK and the UK has some of the best ravers I’ve met.
