Kevin Kline, an accomplished pianist in his own right, did ALL his own piano work in DeLovely.
A wonderful movie that deserves wider recognition. Kevin Kline carries the movie with his singing and playing. Ashley Judd is terrific too. The magical songs need no other description.
This really was a great movie; great acting and what a musical score!!! So underrated by the critics.

I watched this movie for the first time less than a week ago. I got lost in it. It was that good. I haven't felt that way about a movie in 30 years.
I have heard dozens of people sing this song however have never heard it sung with the emotion conveyed here. Heartbreakingly beautiful. This arrangement is magnificent

Two of my favourite films are De Lovely and Night and Day. Very different biopics, but each enthralling because of the wonderful music of Cole Porter.

This is easily one of the best endings to a movie ever filmed. I just love the way the camera pulls back, the light going down as we leave Cole and Linda to their afterlife, where, hopefully, they were reunited. Despite their conflicting sexual preferences, they were each other's soulmates.

I made my cousin listen to this song once, and it really saddened me how she could'nt even appreciate the beauty of it. I could listen to this song a hundred times and it never loses it powerful, haunting affect. Just a beautiful piece of music :)

This entire movie is the most wonderful and beautiful thing I have ever seen. I have never been so close to tears/in tears so many times in one movie. Brilliant, and such a beautiful closer. Who says you can't end with a ballad? :')

This movie made me quit planting amercan beaties and start planting Linda Porters. There is no bad cold porter song. only comparable musical theathre composers are Berlin, Gershwin and in the modern era sondheim.
When this movie came out, I went to the theater, which I never do. I took my mom, which I never did either. I could hardly contain my excitement! A Cole Porter bio full of Cole Porter songs? Starring the Pirate King himself? Surely it will be the best cinematic experience of my life!
