We bake a few things and snack on a few things that we don’t normally have any other time of the year tasty loaf cakes, cranberry nut bread, special banana, breads, chocolatey loaf, cakes, and the lake we like to sit together and watch silly and sweet holiday programs. Take care of yourself take all the time you need. It’s nice to see you up and about.
Those loaf cakes and breads, especially with cranberries, bananas, and chocolate, must fill your home with the most amazing smells. I am glad to hear that you are recognizing when your body says, slow down! And as far as the kitchen renovations, I have NEVER heard of a single one that goes smoothly, or on time…🤣. I have to share my favorite Christmas memory with you (although it does not include baking). I had a great aunt who did not have any children, but thought of me and my sister as her little girls. She was “high society” (back in the days when that really meant you had good breeding, and class, not to mention, rich🤣🤣🤣). Every year at Christmas, she took me and my sister to the opera house to see the Nutcracker ballet. This was back in the early sixties, so you better believe we were in our special Christmas dresses. One year, after the ballet, we came out and it was snowing, the city streets looked beautiful! We walked to a candy shop, and in the window they had these beautiful lollipops, shaped like toys, trees, stockings. They were in beautiful colors, and I just had to taste one. We went in, and my sister and I each got a bag! I think it had 10 pieces in it. What a treat! So that became our tradition, after the opera, every year. These were not your standard sugar lollipops. They were colored, but yet, crystal clear, they were not fruit flavored, and yet they had their own distinct flavor. I only saw them in candy shops and only at Christmas. I have not seen them in years, but I can still taste them! I wish you the Merriest Christmas, and a very happy, healthy New Years!

I make ginger bread cookies for my husband. This year we're going to hang it off this beautiful little ikea tree. It is white metal with wooden balls. They sold it last year and this year they have it also. I have always wanted to make panatone bread. This might be the year 🎄

We bake a few things and snack on a few things that we don’t normally have any other time of the year tasty loaf cakes, cranberry nut bread, special banana, breads, chocolatey loaf, cakes, and the lake we like to sit together and watch silly and sweet holiday programs. Take care of yourself take all the time you need. It’s nice to see you up and about.
Those loaf cakes and breads, especially with cranberries, bananas, and chocolate, must fill your home with the most amazing smells. And relaxing together with sweet holiday programs makes it even more special.

I am glad to hear that you are recognizing when your body says, slow down! And as far as the kitchen renovations, I have NEVER heard of a single one that goes smoothly, or on time…🤣.
I have to share my favorite Christmas memory with you (although it does not include baking). I had a great aunt who did not have any children, but thought of me and my sister as her little girls. She was “high society” (back in the days when that really meant you had good breeding, and class, not to mention, rich🤣🤣🤣). Every year at Christmas, she took me and my sister to the opera house to see the Nutcracker ballet. This was back in the early sixties, so you better believe we were in our special Christmas dresses. One year, after the ballet, we came out and it was snowing, the city streets looked beautiful! We walked to a candy shop, and in the window they had these beautiful lollipops, shaped like toys, trees, stockings. They were in beautiful colors, and I just had to taste one. We went in, and my sister and I each got a bag! I think it had 10 pieces in it. What a treat! So that became our tradition, after the opera, every year. These were not your standard sugar lollipops. They were colored, but yet, crystal clear, they were not fruit flavored, and yet they had their own distinct flavor. I only saw them in candy shops and only at Christmas. I have not seen them in years, but I can still taste them!
