Jimbo, I know this might be against your goals for the channel, but do you think you could set up an Amazon public wish list for things you need? There might be 1 or two of us who'd like to help, but don't know what you might want / need to support the channel.
I think it's better when people send him proven stuff. He might not have experience with stuff he never owned... So how will he know what to request? Not too mention patreon type of funding would be better - few people can share their beer money once a month and easily and highly help with buying the toys - instead of one person buying $100 - 500 item.
You can adjust the settings on your action camera to eliminate the "hazy" look out of the windows and windshield. All you have to do is drop your "EV comp" setting almost all the way down (into the negative range). The interior of the car will be "darker" but the view through the glass will be MUCH better👍 Hope this helps, love the content
Thank you to Jason for the generous gift and to Jimbo and anyone else who contributes. This channel may be a bit niche but the amount of effort that goes into it is remarkable. Hoping things take off in 2024 - you deserve it!
Thank you Jason!! and Thank you Jimbo. I don't do the social media thing much myself, but I have told all my car-nerd friends about your channel. It's definitely among some of the most entertaining, best produced content on UA-cam.
I've owned a dragy for a few years now. Lots of guys use them at the local tracks because they don't all have time slips. I would more trust the dragy speed than the jungle site gps speed-o. I think a dragy is a great addition to the channel. Thanks Jason.
Ok, dutifully I say thank you Jason. Dang I hope this channel surives. It sure is refreshing to find some guy who's good (bit of a genius) with video production, not in love with his own face, doesn't have guitars hanging on the back wall of his "news" studio, and turns honest hours into pleasant minutes. *WHEN* this channel succeeds it will be invincible. You've taken no short-cuts -- and I'm coping with the 'ick' factor of the gnome infestation as best as can be expected under the circumstances thanks for asking.
Good shit. Thanks to the Redcoat for sending in the Dragy. If it weren't for Jason I wouldn't have gotten to see what I just saw and learned. Always a treat when RC uploads. And I appreciate all the honesty.
Thanks Jason! I like what StevenMax suggested. If there’s any parts you’d like off the Jungle site, I think it’d be invaluable for the channel to have a wish list on there. I’d sure love to help in any capacity. I find this channel extremely interesting and I find myself going back to watch previous episodes. Thank you for all your hard work Jimbo. I promise it doesn’t go unnoticed!!
Thanks Jimbo, Jason, and the entire RC crew for making this great channel. Way ahead of you on the liking, sharing, and subscribing! You make great content and you deserve it!
Good morning. Happy 2024. Thanks for the behind the scenes look and update on the new tech. Thanks Jason. I appreciate the work that goes into this channel as I had to use UA-cam and zoom to teach auto tech for a semester during COVID. After we came back to the shop I had to drop making videos as the time factor of teaching and video editing didn't mesh well. Here's to a making year, not a breaking year.
Thank you Jason, and thank you Jimbo and friends and family that help make this channel so special! Stay safe and I look forward to 2024's special content from you!
Thanks Jason! Jimbo thanks to you too. Being a boomer that is frustrated by nearly everything I applaud your tenacious pursuit to get the data... Mind you, we went to the moon with less computing power. My wife has me looking for a Nash Metropolitan for her and my mind wanders to thoughts of a Kubota powered Metropolitan with purple paint and interior. I don't know why that doesn't frustrates me...
Thank you, Jason! Very cool addition to a fantastic channel. And I "get it" when you explain how much time it takes to make a nice video. I've been working on my channel for over a decade, and it certainly is a labor of love due to the ever changing rules and standards that are enforced retroactively. It's maddening. You clearly enjoy sharing your craft, and we deeply enjoy learning from you, so take it easy and keep it fun to you. That's what started you out in the first place. Thank you for all the hard work. It's not unappreciated. 😎👍🏼
Lots of hard work. I like the “behind the scenes” video! Thanks Jason and Jimbo! Hey, if the workload gets overwhelming, just do a “Short” every other week or something.
Thanks Jason for helping out with the Chanel. And I can't wait to see you make more progress on your project. I'd watch it even if you were fixing your lawn mower lol.
Thanks Jason! and especially thanks Jimbo. My wife was from Newton so I know a little about the crazy weather in your part of the world. Keep putting up whatever you can, we'll watch it. I enjoy all of your videos and look forward to them each week. The editing, ideas and craftsmanship displayed is top notch.
No cheerful Xylophone music outro? That earworm is a big part of your success! lol thanks for the great content, and hoping you can exceed all your expectations for 2024!
We appreciate your hard work! Thank you! I'm not much of a gear head but I enjoy watching you put alternative engines in these vehicles and seeing what it would take to get it all running. And thank you Jason. :}
Thank you Jason! Very cool to see how the non-car parts of the video are made. I have a world of respect for your skills and the hard work you put in, Jimbo. Thanks.
I think this has to be one of the most unique and interesting car channels on youtube. Thanks Jason!. It's always good getting something to help with data gathering and analysis.
Thanks Jason and thanks Jimbo. Your weekly uploads are part of my cats Sunday morning routine. I always watch your video Sunday morning while my clothes are in the washing machine.
Thank you Jason! This channel is great, and honestly one of the main reasons I feel that way is the narration you do! It is niche but there are probably hundreds of thousands of people that would love to see this series
Thank you! I am one of those who liked the old format. I can visually see the car accelerate from the road ahead. Plain numbers and speedo not so much. You are doing great! Much appreciated! You can even make the videos simpler and more easy for your self.
I always look forward to new episodes, and thought I was subscribed for the last 1,5 years since it always shows up. Turns out I was not subscribed, but I am now! Thank you Jimbo for the enterntainment of the week! Thank you Jason for your gift!
Thnk you Jason, and thanks Jimbo. Great watch as always. Mostly one man show or not; it's always a pleasure to see something. Realised long ago how much of a burden keeping this channel going is, build series are near as hard as it gets.
hardest workin guy is show bidnis...thanks for all you do jimbo, your enthusiasm is contagious and helps me stay positive about all my projects. im pullin for you and your plans for this year, may it go a touch better than you plan! ha! and thanks jason, rad toy!
I never realized how much work there is to make a good video. Thanks for sharing and thanks to the viewer who sent you a tool that will be useful in future videos. Phil
Thank you Jason. @Jimbo - it might be useful to remove the rearview mirror with that new view, and thank you very much for all the effort you put into these videos!!
Hope you have a successful 2024, this is one of my favorite automotive channels. Can’t find this kind of content anywhere else, and it’s part of my Sunday morning routine at this point😊
There is nothing more appropriate for this channel than designing and 3D-printing a custom case for the iPhone to accomplish something which could have been done with a piece of duck tape 😆 but that's why I love it!
Thank you jason, and the ability to take footage and turn it into an interesting video absolutely makes all the difference, wish it was a knack i had for my crappy channel.
I'm crying here. Your fuel economy figures for this project, equate to over 80MPG UK. This is something I need to get my head around... You live in a land that has its own oil. All we have in the UK. is rain, and bad weather... And a government that doesn't know its arse from its elbow... I have been binge watching your videos. I find them extremely interesting. I wish the Internet had been around 20 yrs earlier. I used to do a lot of work on vehicles, a self taught mechanic.(And a good one.) I'm now 67yrs old. and would love to get involved in something like this...
Jimbo, I know this might be against your goals for the channel, but do you think you could set up an Amazon public wish list for things you need? There might be 1 or two of us who'd like to help, but don't know what you might want / need to support the channel.

@MariuszChr I'm sure he has a list of parts that would help.
@@briankuhn7396 i could think of exhaust pipes, yeah
He's got a PO Box in the description. Send him jungle site gift cards.
I like this idea.
Thank you Jason and thank you Jimbo for all your hard work. Your weekly Sunday videos make my day and hoping 2024 is an awesome year for you.
Ummm.... Yeah... What ^ they said! :)
@@jawa7609 you had a Jawa motorcycle? If you did cool!
Yes indeed, thank you Jason!
Thanks to Jason! And, the new camera angle treats the audience with a view of Jimbo's beard - priceless!
Patience is a virtue and waiting for Robot Cantina’s next episode is like waiting for Christmas morning … 🎉

Thank you Jimbo for all the editing and engineering you do. Thanks to Jason for the Christmas gift to Jimbo. I love the Robot Cantina channel.
Thank you Jason and thank you Jimbo for all your hard work

God bless you and your whole team, grandkids too. Say hi to the gnomes for me. Thanks for sharing your life with us.😎

Thanks Jason! And Jimbo, watch out for the gnomes. I hear they like to mess with video editing software when they're not hiding 10mm sockets.
the dragy is going to be most useful for working out gearing and cvt stuff, confirming your that your 2nd gear starts are faster etc
Good shit. Thanks to the Redcoat for sending in the Dragy. If it weren't for Jason I wouldn't have gotten to see what I just saw and learned. Always a treat when RC uploads. And I appreciate all the honesty.
Redcoat?? Meh, I've been called worse 😂
Very clever Jimbo! Thanks to Jason for coming up with the cool device.
Wow, extremely generous of Jason! Gonna help make the channel even better. You'll figure out the kinks.

I think this has to be one of the most unique and interesting car channels on youtube. Thanks Jason!. It's always good getting something to help with data gathering and analysis.
The draggy interrogates the satellite's at ten times a second. This should give near perfect accuracy. The App is crap. Good on Jason!
