Interesting to see how waterproof the tool box will be in the long term. I find a tank bag a nuisance, take it on and off every time fill with fuel, also if containing valuables, you have to take it off every time you leave the bike. Panniers are lockable and safer than a tank bag, I use top box for storing helmet on walkabout. I appreciate helmet can be chained to bike. Tank bag a real nuisance when manoeuvring and touches the horn button, especially on a very early start-neighbours.
I do see your point I only use a small tank bag mainly for camera equipment so I would remove it when I left the bike anyway. I’ve rode in som pretty wet weather lately and up to yet the toolbox is been waterproof. I do appreciate your comment and hope you will subscribe I’ve more stuff in the pipeline
@@ivanrushtonthelonewolfrides Subscribed! Glad to hear that the tool box is waterproof. My tank bag certainly was not waterproof, ruined my documents on continental trip. I think the new vehicle registration doc was £25 or £35 to replace, rip off. Good luck, J
@@ivanrushtonthelonewolfrides Travelling from Berlin to Bamberg in truly biblical rain all the way - hotels booked no choice but to ride. On the journey I thought to myself, I have a very comfortable car at home, why am I doing this? The tank bag had a plastic cover which I left at home, I had been lucky up to that day, plus the cover takes up valuable space in the tank bag. The documents were in plastic wallets and still were drenched.
Hi Steve. I got it from Aliexpress .com. I can’t find the link but it’s on there easy to find. Just make sure you order the one for non pannier rack fitting. The actual paneer forting bits still actually come with it anyway. If I can find it I will put the link on Thanks for watching the video
I’m still learning to try and get the sound right. It’s too loud and distorted on some riding blogs and quieter when I’m do tech bits. I will get it right. I’ve changed the editing I use and the new one gives me far more flexibility so hoping things will improve
Thank you Ivan for the information, box ordered, very helpful Steve

@@jeanjacques9980 sorry to hear your docs got wet. Where were you going on your trip. Both my tankbags have to have a cover on them to keep them dry

Your plate was on full show before you pixelated it. And you can still see what it reads clear as day even though it has been pixelated 🤷🏻♂️
I will remove the video I think thanks for your comment
