I know we’re not entitled to it, but it would be wonderful to have an updated video on your teaching journey! Graduation, details about your experience with EdPTA, overall satisfaction with the school, etc. Your videos have been extremely helpful and I hope you’re doing well!
Yes! Adults scare me too! 2 paras would have made me nervous lol! I'm so nervous to start. Start date is 12/2020 so I've got awhile. I have 44 credits but havent heard how many will transfer to WGU yet
My wife had 2 weeks of student teaching left, then this coronavirus crap shut the schools down. She has nothing to do all classes and test done. Degree is being held up because of 2 weeks of student teaching left even though she already finished her solo teach.
I was able to get the district I’m working in now who had no relationship at all with WGU ,they said they can open a slot for me when I’m ready . Hey I’m a paraprofessional! :p
Can you tell me how that worked out? I’m in the exact same situation. Were you able to continue working as a paraprofessional as you were student teaching?
We have a pretty large district where I live and it is the ONLY district that we can choose unless we want to travel more than an hour outside of the city. Even the small rural towns outside of my city are apart of the district. It's a foreign thing for me to hear people choosing districts and not schools. 😂
Hi! I am starting WGU on June 1st and has a few questions about it and if you could answer them that would be amazing! I can contact you via email if that works best for you!
Marissa O'Connell friend!! I am starting there too! Are you doing elementary Ed? I am doing their masters that leads to licensure! Would love to connect!

I’m about to student teach in the Fall through WGU. I would love to know more about the process of being observed by the clinical supervisor.
He sits there and does nothing lol. He litterally just watched.
Hey, did you ever get hired as a teacher???

That's awesome! Having a connection with a school before this process is a huge bonus! Congrats!

I decided to go the baes route for my bachelor's so I'll be doing alternative licensing with my state .
I'd love to hear about your subbing experience too.
Did you take the Straighterline courses before you went on to WGU?

Did you ever have to go through a drug test during the demonstration teaching portion of your time with WGU?
Yeah, there's no way she's still teaching...😅
