The saddest part about Navalny's story is that he's clearly someone who passionately believes in the future of the Russian people, so much that he's willing to sacrifice himself for them... unlike Putin, who likes to go on about the "glory of the Motherland," while actively throwing his people into a meat-grinder for no reason. It's a horrible injustice that Navalny is the one that's suffering while Putin lives in comfort. If there's any justice in the world, they'll trade places one day.
Look around, thats the world we live in for decades, (if not from ever) sadly if you are honorable and good, that will be at some point your downfall. In todays world, love and goodness is a weakness, until the people educate themselves, it is all about 1gnorance.

Yes brave, but going back to Russia was a mistake. He could have done a lot more in Europe than from a prison cell in Russia.
I agree, that it was very brave returning to Russia knowing what waited him there. There have been other (people in the opposition), who had given in to Putin's threats and decided to live somewhere safe. Guess what - neither we nor the russian public really hears from them. He went back to inspire others to resist. It's awful to waste away in a prison cell, but I think until he's still alive and Putin is still in power it's to early to tell if it was a mistake or not.

2. He openly stated many times that he's NOT going to reoccupy Crimea (which was occupied in 2014).

I did eight months in the hole, U.S. solitary confinement. I started writing and filled two notebooks. After being released, and after being in population for over a year, I re-read what I wrote in solitary, and was completely shocked. It was my writing no doubt, but I was like, "Who the fuck wrote this?" Solitary confinement takes a huge toll on a persons mental wellbeing, I've seen a fellow inmate lose his mind. I'm not sure if I didn't lose mine.
It is illegal in most of the developed civilised world, as it is a form of torture. Shows you just how civilised america really is.

2- What about destroy Iraq, Afghanistan and killing and bombing civilians in them !!?.
3- What about NATO bombing of the Radio Television of Serbia including the civilians in it !!?.
4- What about torturing and killing people in many prisons, such as Guantanamo, by their own admission, knowing that many of them were later proven innocent.
5- What about USA using drones and bombing "suspected" terrorists, and bombing civilians with them, by their own admission !!?.
6- What about that few days ago in 2022/12/31 US, UK, Australia, Austria, Canada, Germany, Italy and ..... voted against a resolution condemning the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories, In the form of obvious injustice. and then they talk about the freedom of the peoples and the freedom of the Ukrainian people !!?.
7- What about in China-Taiwan case, although international law and all the countries admits that Taiwan is a part of China, and although China keep it calm to the maximum, however USA doing what it's doing in Taiwan and in "a provocative manner", looks like its pushing China to enter Taiwan so it will become a War of Attrition but for China this time !!!?.
8- What about Washington's support for dictators throughout the ages, as Trump admitted, as long as their agenda is compatible with America's interests !!!?.
