  • Carlos Castaneda was born on Christmas Day in 1925 and passed away on 27th April, 1998. He is most well known for a series of books that describe his training in shamanism under a Yaqui, Don Juan Matus.
His works have been controversial from initial publication until today. Some call him an outstanding western figure in mysticism and shamanism; others view him as an author of valuable, yet fictional writings. Still others see him as nothing more than a con-man.
Whatever you see him as, I have appreciated being exposed to his writings and believe they have benefited me.

Reading"Voir" then "Voyage à Ixtlán" in French changed my life when I read them in my early 20's.
Along with shrooms experiences and that "watch your hands in your dreams" practice I got into a great journey.
My admiration to Castaneda, Don Juan and Don Genaro.
Went to read them back again as my Spanish got on a great level.
Never got into doubting Castaneda's works was it fictional or real since the teachings were relevant and still effective in my 50's.
Let down dreams practice after some scary ones .
    Amor, Paz y Fuerza 💙🙏💙

Whatever you see Carlos Castaneda as, I have appreciated being exposed to his writings and believe they have benefited me. I clearly recall 'looking at my hands' in a dream for the first time when I was 19.
