One of the things about Stigers is how that glorious, mature voice, which I've always loved but seemed almost incongruent on the young hottie of the 90s, now sits - honed even further, somehow - so perfectly on the same guy. He just gets better.
A few years ago I did an Ebay search for cd's containing the late, legendary Jeff Porcaro and came across a Curtis Stigers disc...been a fan ever since.
A dear friend gave me his First CD back in the mid 90's... I listen to it often, Curtis..Rock on yo.... you've got it going on. Would love to see you in concert..be well, Namaste, t.
Brilliant; Absolutely! WoW! Curtis is so touching with his voice & his lyrics bring tears straight to my eyes. But I want to congratulate his musicians for the Well done, Great Job! I discover Curtis few hours ago with the 1st edition of this song, but what a surprise in this Stuttgart Jazz Open performance! Special Thanks for you Matthew, you just blow me away with your Classy & touching way to play and turn this "classical" song sounds Jazzy; You're just A-MA-ZING!!! Thank you; Be Blessed!
Yeah but I like his more commercial stuff too, it's way better than most knowadays singers and band. Especially this particular one reminds in my childhood days.
Nothing to add what's not written here......... it's always nice to dip in to something when it last longer......concerts instead of radio-pop.minutes !
You'd think only having one joke and two jokes respectively, it would be a problem in comedy? Not for Douglas and Collier. Timeless I tells ya. *Wipes away tear.
This video proves that the autotuning of today just destroys the natural talent of many artists. Auto tuning was not as prevalant in the 90's as it is today so the fact that he sounds just like his album (if not better and with more feelings) shows his true talent.
If someone you know or love is in danger of "scatting". Please call the "Scatt Helpine". Open all chigady bing bong dink dink frunk hours a day. A great voice Curtis but sounding like a broken pressure cooker, is a big NO for me.
I've been in love with this man's music for as long as I can remember 😍
Nothing more to say , than just Brilliant !! X
just super..not just a great voice but a musician who can convey a song and even his musicians seem to be enjoying it..brill fusion.
Curtis is just amazing - his voice gets under your skin! Absolutely great, great, great!!! And he's really easy on the eyes, too! ;-)

So expressive, soulful, passionate in the style of jazz. Just makes you happy to be alive!
Thank God for real singers!
The drum sounds with his mouth is phenomenal 😍❤

Ooh. That sweet 'please' at 5:52. ❤️
I know, right, SUKP?
Just gorgeous.
one of my favorites in high school :)
+Kris Sim Seems to have found a new niche away from pop, but now jazz and Sinatra era songs.
:)
Curtis Stigers is THE BEST...end of!
Fantastic intro
THE best band in the Biz. I adore him.
Great Jazz musician besides his commercial side - funny, great sax man, great entertainer - soulful great voice - I love it
Yeah but I like his more commercial stuff too, it's way better than most knowadays singers and band. Especially this particular one reminds in my childhood days.
I saw him at another Jazz Festival in Germany and it fits exactly in my music taste. Jazz

I have lots more to add but I watch and comment on his stuff so often, I"m wary of seeming a bit stalky. Respect, Stigers.
I TOLD YOU, WHERE IS HE NOW, YOU NEVER HEAR OF HIM HE WAS UP THERE WITH BOLTON.
thats jazz
and not mad at all

👍😘😍
And another thing. That guy on DB really rocks ... In an entirely jazz way, you understand.
Das groovt - und kein einziger Sturgeter bewegt sich...
He is as good-if not better--as his records.

Autotuning rarely ruins natural talent, it's designed to give the perception of talent where there is little or non
The next Al Jarreau ?
Baby plays around?
I reckon he was up all night drinking Red Bull and scoffing Moon Dust. Watching Jack Douglas and Norman Collier dvd's
OMG he could be the father of jacob collier
que se fumo....
is he mad
i dont like this version, prefer the original, and the bigger production of it, it takes it away from the beautiful song it was.
Great song....but Curtis don't ever smoke pot before a gig again that intro was awful.
Hey, dont blame that on weed...millions of people smoke but dont skat or record mid 90's bland hits. Thats all Curtis.. Anyways...wheres my stash.
i dont know what happened to Curtis, its as if when he got rid of his long hair, he went mediocre into this jazz thing.

He's not all there
