One privacy step that could be mentioned here is using a custom DNS instead of using your ISP. It’s a free and easy step that makes a difference for privacy.
Your comment is the one I wanted to see from in videos and other people talking about it. DNS is probably the most easy way to track you, direct almost all advertises to you and block you from access online content, I pay for the Adguard DNS after testing a lot of others including NextDNS, use my own lists and I have no false positives at all, yet I keep a 24hours-only track to see my overall blocks and turns out it blocks almost 50% of the requests from my phone, most of it are Google, Microsoft, Amazon and Facebook requests. I'd really like to see more people concerned about DNS instead of only VPN services.

Hi Josh! I live in the US. I don’t do gaming or anything like that. I was wondering if I need anything (I watch your videos and I’m overwhelmed by all the different options!) to just have safety from hackers?
Hey there Heidi! Thanks for watching and commenting 👍 The reality is that nowadays, your general internet browsing is pretty secure (as long as you're visiting https-encrypted website). I don't use a VPN or alternative unless I'm particularly worried for some reason - and that's pretty rare. The *more important thing* to consider when it comes to hackers is how you secure your online accounts. Do you have strong passwords? Do you use 2FA? These are the things I would work on first before worrying about adding additional encryption to your general internet activity. I hope that makes sense!
@@AllThingsSecured ahh ok thanks!! That makes perfect sense!! I set up 2FA for the company that hosts my business website. A developer did my website and someone deleted all the files. So the company helped me to get my files back and then I changed the password and set up 2FA. They had that option. But how do I set it up for other sites???
Android's tethering is wired network unless Im having a big mistake. It is different from hotspot which is wireless network. About the decentralized vpn, it is peer to peer vpn, isnt it?

2:10 or even better. Get a laptop with LTE rather than using your phone as a hotspot. Like a Microsoft Surface device or other Window devices 🙂. I am not aware of any Mac devices that can do LTE. I am only aware of the iPad and iPhone.
Opera's browser offers a free VPN, which is handy for basic privacy like hiding your browsing activity from your ISP. However, it's not the most secure option. It acts more like a proxy than a full VPN, so your activity outside the browser might still be exposed. Additionally, Opera's VPN hasn't undergone independent audits to verify its security claims. If you prioritize online privacy, consider investing in a paid VPN with stronger security features and wider protection.

Is having the benefit of visiting 100 foreign Countries servers really a benefit? I don't understand.
Thank you for sharing. Very reenforcing
Is it safe to turn off Web Protection in NordVPN if I also have Bitdefender Antivirus Plus on my pc?
It's generally safe to turn off Web Protection in NordVPN if you have Bitdefender Antivirus Plus installed, as Bitdefender offers robust web protection features.
Wait, there are people ion 2023 that still are not aware of mobile hotspot?
Thank you for your videos!
No problem!
Hello,
Thank you for your usefull video... I have a small question pls.
If I'm setting in an Internnet cafe and I don't have a VPN... Is it safe to use Brave browser with Tor private window (Alone) to complete my finance transactions?
.
Great Information as Always have a great Day
Thanks! You too.
How do I no vpns aren't fed based.
Stings provoking criminal activity trust to get would be criminals to act by promoting secure connections. What was the process before 2015 and the vpn popularity.
My vpn has not got my tracker off my phone yet ,when I try to get a whole I f them ,they do not call back I don't know what they are doing ,they do not answer me when I sent a message ,my sister and my niece are going to get one ,but I think they change their mind because they will not call back iguess I will check out another onr
I don't mind paying for something, but I don't trust putting my financial information online. I need a VPN, simple because some site, charge for their product, or service, depending on what country you're from. Also, some free apps are blocked in the United States. I want a simple radio app. for my phone, but the ones you can acess in the United States are Bloated, and still use data time.
I completely understand where you're coming from.
Why does my browsing history on Tor also show up in my Chrome history?
It shouldn’t.
Android's tethering is wired network unless Im having a big mistake. It is different from hotspot which is wireless network.
About the decentralized vpn, it is peer to peer vpn, isnt it?
Tethering can be done both wired and wireless. As for the dVPN, it is essentially a peer to peer VPN, although there are differences.
@@AllThingsSecured ok thanks good to know :D
seen two of your videos on you tube Great information Would you say the best vpn & price at the moment with a 30 day trial would be Express VPN in your opinion ! as it can protect other devices too
2:10 or even better. Get a laptop with LTE rather than using your phone as a hotspot. Like a Microsoft Surface device or other Window devices 🙂. I am not aware of any Mac devices that can do LTE. I am only aware of the iPad and iPhone.
That’s another way to do it!
Thanks, great video
Brave browser was hacked a few months back
What about connecting Tor using a VPN?
That’s an extra step you could do.
Sir OPERA browser give free vpn. is it safe ?
Opera's browser offers a free VPN, which is handy for basic privacy like hiding your browsing activity from your ISP. However, it's not the most secure option. It acts more like a proxy than a full VPN, so your activity outside the browser might still be exposed. Additionally, Opera's VPN hasn't undergone independent audits to verify its security claims. If you prioritize online privacy, consider investing in a paid VPN with stronger security features and wider protection.
Could I use a vpn to work a job from the USA from Mexico ?
Possibly.
Why is i2p or freenet project not on this list?
Because I’m not familiar with them.
I tried Express VPN but it slowed down my speeds, significantly.
Sorry to hear that.
I cancelled my Expressvpn service ...not because I was unhappy with the excellent service, but because they have been sold to Kape Technologies. Kape have a dark, nefarious history when it comes to privacy so I no longer trust them. Moved to another VPN service provider.
Which one?
first time I hear someone explain something with ' It's kinda like Bitcoin' ..🙂
😂😂
I want to stop FB from going in and collect data from my PC and other devices connected through WiFi
Then you need to adjust your Facebook account, not a VPN or alternative.
@@AllThingsSecured again he responds, lol, that's worth a sub for sure ;)
ok thank you, I remember in the beginning of the year they announced their new policies and wasn't impressed with them have the legal right that law enforcement, makes no sense
Did you hear about ZeroTier ?
No
not sure whats wrong with being a cheapskate and if i have a vpn for free that works for me id be a fool paying and dont need someone pontificating to me. Nothing in life is completely fullproof as you stated.
My point is that you get what you pay for. But if you think that you’re gaining some kind of security or anonymity by using a free VPN, I would argue that this is foolish.
apparently snowden said express is compromised
Apparently, everything Snowden says is automatically truth.
I just found this channel just now,so i am kinda clueless in this kind of topic,so expressvpn is safe? as he said the vid? phew i was scared when i read the title
I use it for streaming, but “safe” is a judgement call. I don’t know much about the company, definitely not enough to hand over extremely sensitive data.
My phone 😭 Private Relay is not available in South Africa 🤪
Bummer!
What is the advantage of using a VPN during gaming?
Most gamers I know who use VPNs do so in order to avoid leaking their IP address. This protects them from DDOS attacks and other harmful techniques that make us of this IP address.
@@AllThingsSecured Thanks!
thanks for the video you gave me good ideas thanks.
Glad to hear it, Nicholas.
What is the best for people with tyrannical governments with heavily censored internet? Is TOR worth it for this description or brave?
For censorship, I'm happy using a VPN. If you're worried about getting caught, I would do both a VPN and TOR together.
Is avast Secure VPN safe to use?
Safe how?
@@AllThingsSecured like Out of all of the VPNs is it better to use or is it worse to use?
It’s just another VPN. I don’t think it’s more or less safe. It’s as safe as you trust the company.
wish I new what data I needed to protect besides my credit card number and my passwords.
I have installed a couple of raspberry pies in various locations with Anydesk remote access installed.
Doing so I al using a computer entirely in a remote location that I “own”
Sounds good.
Where's the links?
Have you seen the description of this video?
Some mobile phone providers don't allow tethering but it is a good option
That’s true, so in that case it wouldn’t be an option for you.
Utopia Ecosystem is what you need to know about safety and anonymity!
Thanks for the suggestion, Aaron!
Why didn't you mention opera vpn
I’m trying to provide options that *aren’t* run by third party companies.
i found seetting up a vpn server on a raspberry pi is surprisingly easy :D
Yea, I’ve done that in the past and I might do a video on it next year.
There are more pretty alternatives, like softether, OpenVPN, and Wireguard.
