God I love him. Where you been man? Even after all these years, every time I hear someone on radio with a similar sounding voice I get so excited, and look you up just in case you've put out something new. Now I've actually got something to look forward to and to put my money towards.
I thought the whole thing was awesome personally. Swearing an' all. Glad that you're back, it's been way too long. Your songs were constantly on the radio, particuarly during my Year 7 at school, it was great time for music. It was also refreshing to hear a musician say the industry's fucked too; you're saying what we're all thinking.
@DanielBedingfld Beddy baby I'm soooooooo glad you're back! :D Its been a long time comin' for sure! Last time I saw you was in 2003! WTF! Keep makin' music till ya brain is fried :P x
Go on Daniel Son! You will do it. Make that shit happen! (You have my pledge already. I will send more when I can afford it. Never thought I would become a patron of the arts! ;)
Love the rhythm you're using! Becoming Indie has really giving you a more edgy way of singing. It gets better and better. Keep the music coming. Oh and how are you doing with the fight against human trafficking. It's quite inspirational. All of my friends are your fans. I have no influence what so ever. I just turn on my iTunes and everyone admires your music and when I tell them of your kindness they all applaud your dedication ;)
As many here I was kind of disappointed with the bad language used. I'd really good feelings listening to Daniel's songs during some years. I'm a christian and I don't know if Daniel is, but even not considering it, with the power of influence for being such a talented and famous musician I thought he'd use it, passing good values on, in a world that's falling apart. That being said, I still love Daniel's songs, and 'll be listening to his new album and will be a pledge. Hope you come to Brazil
@upssniper Apologies I misinterpreted the final sentence of your comment. When I was 5 my parents didn't play me their music I listened to kiddy bop, maybe try playing that to little kids instead of songs you actually like. It stumps your own taste if you're hindered by your kids in what you listen to. YOU'RE still an adult. And no, this song is classic Bedingfield, just with a couple of swear words.
@upssniper And also you immediately jump to "negative messages" because of swear words, which again says a lot about you. The message of this short song is vastly positive, about taking your work into your own hands and not getting caught up in beurocracy. System of a Down's anti-war song BYOB wouldn't be the same without the line "where the fuck were you?" about the leaders who sent their people to die.
@upssniper Only if your kids are under the age of 12 should that be a problem. I was aware of swear words from a very young age, mostly because of school, and didn't start using them till I was much older. If a parent's a prude (like my mum is) and is somehow scared that their kids hearing swear words will turn them into criminals, that's their own problem. An artist can do whatever he wants and shouldn't be scolded for it like he himself is a child.
It really annoys me that a couple of commenters here relate good music to whether or not it swears. He's not a christian country music artist, nor a Disney singer, he can swear if he wants to, and it doesn't affect the quality of the music.
I listened to your first two albums earlier and really miss GOOD music. I don't know why the current 'trend' is shit at the moment. Pop music is the way forward, not the current shit. Hurry up and come back! haha x
@ILikeMyMusicLoud it's about to get a hell of a lot worse lol. Sorry other people's swearing doesn't fit with your culture. Kiwi's like me just really enjoy a good ol' cuss.
Are people really complaining about two swear words, are we children? Plus you don't think your children swear? How shadowed can you be looool, it's part of the English language and there are more offensive words that aren't swear words, its not about what words it's about what context he uses them in, be quiet and discard you complaints into the nearest rubbish bin
How did I miss this?! Sometimes I think I love these small gigs better than his actual music! So talented...*swoon*
He's finally back!! Missed him wayyyyy too much!
You're amazing and always have been. You never fail to impress me.

Wow, 8 years, that must have been very frustrating. Now you can do what you want and sell your crazy non-corporate music.
@upssniper Also just cos a song is about negative themes doesn't mean it promotes it. i.e. the childhood nursary rhyme about the pneumonic plague.
Now you can be free :)
ha haaa crazeeeee but good
now you can jump on a track with me and we can make crazy insane music together !
Fucking hot!

@reddeviljp I had to - when i took my mouth off the corporate cock.

:D
Damn he's cute lol :)
@spiffcorgi I could sing Christian Country... if i tried really hard... not to laugh...
@upssniper it was less fun. and less honest. and i didn't need to.
@ILikeMyMusicLoud it's about to get a hell of a lot worse lol. Sorry other people's swearing doesn't fit with your culture. Kiwi's like me just really enjoy a good ol' cuss.

I don't care about the odd swear word in songs, I hear worse out of eight-year-olds tbh :\
