Dear Col Rasool. I wish to add some facts here.. My uncle Brigadier Bashir Ahmed was commanding that Pakistani Armored Brigade which you are referring in your talk. He and Brigadier Abdul Rasheed Shami(not Sami) went to see the situation after a heavy shelling and your soldiers fired over that Jeep. Brig Shami died on the spot and Brig Bashir was injured and got shelter in the crops later on Pak soldiers brought him back and in 1983 he died in Karachi due to heart failure. Brig. Shami was commanding the Artillery Brigade which was giving support to the the said Armored brigade. So, no Div commander died in that battle. The Div Commander Maj Gen Naseer was miles away from that episode and he died a natural death after year of 1965 war.
At that time pakistan had state of the art M 16 patton tanks donated by America. Aaj aao beta to hamare T 90 tanks tumhare pichware 125 mm APFSDS se third rate al khalid tank ki khoob lenge
