When I finally got off, put on pennywise's version and it brought me to hi-standard. Now it's been like two hours exploring all this song by bbq, ken and hi standard. Beautiful punk I've found.
kenさんでもこの曲の感じは変えることが出来なかった。これはNo use for a nameの力だろうし、Tonyの力でもある。このアプローチもkenさんがTonyに対する敬意だろうし、だれがやってもsoulmateはsoulmateだし。やはりどちらも素晴らしい。
10年ほど前・・当時中３で、SK８系のビデオのBGMに使われてたコレ聴いて、
パンクロック（特にFAT WRECK CHORDS）にめっちゃのめり込んだ。
サウンドの疾走感、メロディの良さ、そしてTonyの声に否応なしに引きずり込まれた！
今も、Soulmate聴くと、がむしゃらにパンク漁って、SK８カルチャー追っかけてた時のことを思い出す。

I love Hi Standard. Ken was awesome to do this and drew some tears from me. Sly was that rare diamond in the rough from what I have read, though I knew it from his lyrics already. Always a hole in my heart BUT doesn't hurt when I realize so many out there like Ken who like us felt a deep connect with NUFAN and Tony's lyrics and used them as a muse to then create more incredible music and thus inspire more people! THAT is Tony Sly's legacy! His lyrics live on in our hearts forever!

We were good friend since we played together in US and Canada in 1996. Tony was a singer and also a songwriter so not sure whether they are keep playing the band hereafter or not. I was there for Tony's last show. He played in Gainesville, FL with Joey Cape (Lagwagon). My first time seeing both of them. Tony seemed exhausted when I talked to him before the concert. Had no idea it would be his last performance. R.I.P. Tony and thank you.

HI-standard made a live show at the 2011 air jam fest, and 2012 air jam fest.
It seems like that they only play for annual event, which is held by themselves. I don't think that they will make a new album. but I'm still happy to see they play in the same stage, even though they play only once in each year.
