I wouldn’t if you want to breed fish. The plasticizers (BPA, etc.) that are added to plastic to soften it are endocrine system disrupters. Artificial grass uses non-food grade plastic which is even worse as they absorb and leach out chemicals. I go months before any water changes, and usually it’s just topping off evaporated water with rain water or distilled water.
Try 3cm soil, 2-3cm of sand and real plants. Fish will thrive in a more natural environment, you’ll have do minimal maintenance and water changes because the plants and living systems that develop with them are helping.
Imagine if you were put in a concrete box with artificial everything around you…even with lots of space it sounds awful.
In the end there’s lots of ways to keep fish.

Yes you can used Bore well water. supply water is chlorinated water. Just make sure with your shopkeeper first. they have lots of experience.
