What about sending emails? I can't receive emails if I send from my domain unless I turn off proxy and switch to dns only but then I get a warning in cloudflare that my ip is exposed.

lets say i have 1 server in production environment and 1 server on DR site. Is it possible to route email to go only through production server instead of dr server? All inbound email coming from prod server and not DR server. Is it possible?

something weird happening after i set all up, one of my gmail account (around 9 to 10years old) keeps on saying "Your message couldn't be delivered to [custom domain] because the remote server is misconfigured". i tried with other gmail accounts which is newer and i can deliver the email successfully. do anyone have the same issue?

Simon, don't you have to add MX, DKIM, SPF values in the google domains account? I didn't see this portion in your video. When you reference the TXT values, you were on the Cloudflare account settings, not in the Google Domains. Please explain.

Good question! Cloudflare does not handle outbound email from customer domains. However, I have seen support threads of people setting this up using the "send mail as" feature in Gmail (or whatever mail service you use). @@simongondeck Thanks for the reply. I have set up an SMTP server and it seems to work fine. I'm not sure if it's working with Cloudflare or the same SMTP server though.

@@estebansanjurjo great to hear! i also read that others added a spf or some sort of dns record to their DNS settings. you could use the free dmarc monitor from postmark if you wanted to log your email from sending from this domain. you just have to add a dns record to your DNS: dmarc.postmarkapp.com/

@@simongondeck Rackspace has an outage and all of my Exchange users aren't getting email. Could I route these to an external email address like one to Yahoo and some others to Google and others to Verizon?
