I'm a Collingwood supporter too and I didn't even enjoy watching the game. It was enjoyable during the first quarter and then after that it was basically kick-to-kick. We put our cue in the rack after the first quarter (which was understandable but boring to watch).

Collingwood put the cue in the rack after quarter time. Essendon weren't even trying and the game had already been won. No need to waste energy or risk injuries for no additional gain.
Surprised they could get 8 minutes of highlights out of this game. If I was an Essendon supporter I would be filthy at the performance my team put up against their rivals, especially after the year that they have had. Earlier in the year Essendon were putting out great footy on the field and actually showing up, putting in effort and having fun with the game but now it looks like no one wanted to run, no one wanted to defend, and people were missing shots for 20 meters out that a U12 player could kick with their eyes closed. If you don't want to put in 100% on game day, dont put on your boots, dont put on your guernsey and dont step out onto the field in front of the fans who are the backbone of your club. If Essendon were playing poorly all year that would be better than them only giving glimpses of what they can actually do. Go hit the preseason hard, no holidays, no drinking and no partying like you have done in previous years. Watch how finals footy is played and what it means for each team and their supporters.

the game is obviously over umpired and the standard of umpiring is atrocious, however 1 of the very few things they have got right is how they have interpreted player's playing for high contact free kicks, particularly Ginnivan, for McRae to carry on like a petulant school boy when Ginnivan got a free kick was pathetic, especially in the context that Collingwood have had the best run with the umpire's of any team...maybe McRae should try coaching that particular player to stop playing for a free kick everytime he's in a contest, instead of carrying on like a twat
