For Hard, Lunatic and Infernal: Brave Edelgard, Kiria, Peony and Eir For Abyssal: Duo Lif (with Far Trace), Duo Peony (WoM 1), and 2 Harmonic Azuras. Had to use ALL of their duo skills. Every. Single. Last. One. Of. Them. The pain was worth it for the turn 1 clear.
Besides the amount of enemies that spawn, the map was pretty easy to maneuver, and L!F!Shez was pretty easy to take down and totally not because Byleth had to do anything with it. Sad that Reginn got benched, and while Seidr makes a great addition to the f2p team, let's not forgot all the times she has helped us in previous f2p guides.
With Abyssal if you have merges on any units the solution changes on Turn 5 as the Sword Flier and Shez switch locations. Using Ash and Eir to KO Shez and making sure Ash blocks the path of the Green Manakete. KO with a Danced Eir and then use Seidr to KO the Axe Infan. Did this with +1 atk Seidr and +1 atk 16 flowered Eir
I think it says a lot that these types of videos used to get way more views, but now they don't in part due to how the new f2p units can just mop the floor with these maps, so not as many people need to watch guides to beat these maps. At least this also makes these videos much less time consuming for you to make, which is great!
because, back then, we didn't have a lot of options when completing these maps, but now with the summoning/grail pool growing, along with all the meta and refines, people don't really need to guides much these days, still it's nice to see people support content creators, even if it isn't a lot
Thank you for the guide! Seiðr is awesome with these forward (pun intended) strategies! I always use the same team for the Hero Battles, B!Dimitri, L!Byleth, F!Ninian and Nifl and it was a lot of fun trying different approaches in the Abyssal difficulty; in the end what I liked more was to use Deflect Missile and hear all those 'ting' when Shez used her special! 😄 Merry Christmas everyone!
I'm gonna miss Reginn from how much she has contributed to the f2p guides, at least Seidr makes a great replacement. As for L!F!Shez, it was pretty much a cake walk for me, I basically had B!Edelgard take her out with ease.
I was worried that they would put a near save unit near Shez, but since they didn't, this map ended up being a bit easier than I expected. I just ended up using Hatari Karla with 2 Duo Peonies and regular Nils, who charged Hatari Karla's AoE special with Infantry Pulse.
As crazy as Shez may seem, she's missing the main ingredient for fast units: Null Follow-up. Which means that I can use my Brave Edelgard to sneeze on her and watch her explode.
Thank you for your service Reginn. Eir is too good for supporting from range with the consistent heals and iceberg nuke/tanking mage and Peony also have dance and teleporting shenanigans combo with Ash tankiness + her own teleport. I expect Reginn and Seidr will be put in rotation based on the abyssal going forward

I just used my ace team as per usual. I did have to have my Resplendent Celica and Legendary Alm take some potshots like it's a bad Tactic Drill map to achieve the best results with Legendary Edelgard because the challenge of not including a bunch of red units designed to rip armored units apart, including one with Armorsmasher, is impossible, but it's all good.
Welcome to the team Seidr!!! I still don't know how to reliably activate her C skill, so I ended up not using it :( I relied on Peony for an extra buff and avoided the deep wounds red mage on abyssal like the plague. I can't wait to see if we'll get a remix for Reginn or a refine for her mecha: maybe extended range Canto? or a new Panic-like effect that lowers enemy stats based on movement or skill activation? Just hope it won't suck like Fjorm's
The map layout was pretty simple to get around, and L!F!Shez wasn't much of a threat, thanks to her needing +20 more speed than human infantry units. Also, Seidr to Shez on Infernal and Abyssal was like, "Are you a ship? Because I'm gonna iceberg you to the bottom of the ocean!" Sad to Reginn is no longer on the team, she was a real OG.
Due to all merged team, Shez swap position with the Sword flyer (5:58), I had to use Seior to knock out the Axe dude below, and use Ash to punch a den with Shez, and dancing Seior again to Ko Shez in the end all work out differently…
Ever since the release of Duo Corrin and Duo Chrom these abyssal maps have been easy. I've been able to do 1 turn clears on every abyssal map. Thank you for the years of abyssal clear tutorials 😭😂
Okay while I doubt anybody will see this... There is a way to beat the abyssal map without giving Eir her new skills. The only reason I know... is because I was stupid. Here is the long story not-so-short, because I find it worth telling. Read it if you want, or don't. It's up to you. But it was intense for me at least. This is just a glimpse into my experience and how I saw it. Fluff, if you wanna call it that. If you would rather skip it, just scroll past the huge wall of text, it is split up from the rest of the paragraphs using underscores b/c YT doesn't let you do it with blank spaces. _ _ _ I put off the final 2 difficulties til the last day, as I sometimes do... And I saw it was 10 minutes until reset so I was like oh crap I need to get on that! Quickly went to PM1's channel and came back to this video for the F2P guide because he always comes thru. Went thru the Infernal without a hitch. Did it the same exact way he did, but had to use Feh pass magic to restart a few turns after some mess ups, so maybe not _exactly_ the same.. Then guess what? As I was down to the last 2 minutes I finally got to that last turn and there was less than 1 minute left before reset. But for some reason, after I finished the map, the loading took longer than usual, so I was only able to go into the Abyssal map literally a second before the time. I saw it change on my phone RIGHT as the map loaded up. And it's even more clutch and crazier because if I was a split second slower, trying to go into the map after the reset will cause it to not work as far as I remember. Even if you pressed the button before reset and it was loading, it would fail if you don't load into the map beforehand. Really was pushing it this time even more than any time in the past. Racing against the buzzer, the shot clock. _ _ _ So here we are, in the Abyssal difficulty map. Again, following it perfectly the way PhoenixMaster1 is guiding me. I don't experience this often, and it differs between game modes, so I didn't remember if restarting a turn or last turn kicks you out. Didn't wanna risk it so I was very careful, delicate and precise with the touches. Like when you pet a shy kitten 😊🐈⬛ No mis-steps were allowed! Going swell! Then, if you remembered the Intro:Origin of this comment, this is where things took a turn for the worse. The turn where Shez begins her assault. "That blue mage cav still hit pretty hard, all things considered. _So now we're gonna be recovering all of that HP back. No problem about that._" Then Seiðr attacks the green thief. "We're gonna be pretty low on HP but that is completely fine, honestly." What???? "Fine"??? Then why did... Seiðr die? That's when I frantically double check everything. There's no Skill Inheritance again, no Sacred Seals. Eir doesn't have her refine equipped here. It should be working the same way. Then that's when I see it. Make sure to have Atk/Res Unity and Sparkling Boost II on Eir. I didn't have Unity but I wouldn't imagine that would have had much effect if I was fine up to this point and it was only Seiðr's HP that was the problem. Did i at least have Sparkling Boost II equipped? Unfortunately, no I did not. Well that's quite the predicament I was in. It was past reset. the map was no longer accessible, not for *MONTHS* at the very least. I had to go all in and it was either get the glory here or die trying. And I didn't wanna lose this. I've been waiting for that Golden Butterfly Clip of Kamui's, so I can equip it on one of my various Barefoot Waifu Alts. (was gonna give it to my 2nd copy of Halloween Kamui, as they were both -hp and +atk / +spd. I decided against it and merged. Gave her the glowing one instead. The silver one is on Fallen Kamui. Back to the point) I wasn't gonna give it up. I am tenacious. Came in with the energy, the ferocity. I might not have everything I need to make this easy, but I'm a tactician too. I tried multiple different strategies in my head, checked to see if someone would survive or not, but if they weren't safe after the battle it was a no-go. Then I was backed into a corner, so I was forced to use "retry last turn" and luckily... it works here. The top middle enclosure, after finally taking out the mage cavalier I retreated to safety. That ONE move is what saved me. I tried multiple strategies after this as well. And I ended up having to move everyone to the top right corner. I was back against the wall. Nothing worked. I thought I had them but then someone would die, or I'd restart knowing the outcome. I left Ashe up top by herself after teleporting the right units into safety again. Next turn is when I released the energy I stored up after biding my time. Ashe destroyed the assassin. But it was all I could do. I couldn't get rid of the others just yet. That healer and green manakete especially was the bane of my existence. Then finally, I brought Ash back over and let the dragon hit her instead of trying to player phase it. She was transformed so she had her full strength. It hit her then she struck back twice and he was eviscerated. Then I just had one or two enemies left. That golden butterfly clip was MINE. I wouldn't let them take it from me. It left a pitiful attack on Peony, then it was my turn again. I took out the other enemy. Then had Seiðr finish off the healer. And it was victory at last! One of the most hard-fought I have had in a long time but through perserverance, discipline and sheer willpower, I did it. It didn't break me. I didn't submit. This is what true satisfaction feels like. Oh what? Did you say the new banner dropped?!?! Okay time to empty my wallet!! Yay! In all seriousness this does feel good. I wasn't kidding when I said I've been waiting for that accessory for so long as its one of my favorite ones even back in the Fates 3DS game. It gave me the motivation I needed. Any other accessory and I probably would hsve just given up and waited til it came back and i could use PM1's guide for an easy reward. But this allowed me to challenge myself and I'm proud I accomplished this partially on my own! Victory is sweet. 🍓🍰 Thank you so so much to anyone who read this. right at the end I got a different enemy formation but because of seidr I was able to kill shez and shut down the mage cav meaning ash faced the sword flier and manakete on EP and survived with some hp and I won
My abyssal run went strange at the end as shez was on the right of the red time cavlary but thank I was able to kill her and ash was able to tank the green manakete and sword flyer cause I also killed the axe fighter and was able to retreat with seior cause my eir had reposition
Why did I ever merge my Eir (She's +3) ToT I had to improvise a bit at the end (On turn 5, Shez ended up between Axe Fighter and Mage Cav while Sword Flier was in her spot) but everything turned out fine

For some reason, on my F2P account, I decided it would be a good idea to merge away my free Seidr... into +spd copy. The idea of a speedy Seidr was very funny until the next time I thought about it when I realized it wouldn't work
I kinda abused my B Edelgard on this and baited shez out to kill it before it can murder me and i let B Edelgard tank with DR far save and lyn tanking units that B edelgard might not be able to take. I had Unfinished Duo Cordelia and Winter Dorothea normally i would try my Astra team but they would defo die if they snipe my mythics lol. I dont trust my seidr to live a hit if i put her on a wrong spot she would die lol (cause i dont normally check enemy range) its funny that ive seen B Edelgard die here and there but for some reason my Flame Lyn barely dies to a point that i rarely see my Flame Lyn take damage.... Usually if she does get damaged im in trouble lol lyn and edelgard are my go to front units cause they are fully built (not +10) but thier skills are done unless i can make adjustments to thier builds some other time. (Had to fodder black knight for b edelgard distant counter and DR far save 1-3 that said i manage to get two black knights so i get to keep one).
This pretty much shows how..... underwhelming Shez is as a legendary tbh. Not so much just because Seior shutting her down, but I literally threw a random team at this and was easily able to defeat Shez. Girl has ZERO survivability lol. Getting 15% type effectiveness isn't as useful as Arvals 20% ATK &DEF color buff. 2 rng.....no other form of support...not even self protection .

right at the end I got a different enemy formation but because of seidr I was able to kill shez and shut down the mage cav meaning ash faced the sword flier and manakete on EP and survived with some hp and I won
My abyssal run went strange at the end as shez was on the right of the red time cavlary but thank I was able to kill her and ash was able to tank the green manakete and sword flyer cause I also killed the axe fighter and was able to retreat with seior cause my eir had reposition
Seidr legit just tells shez "You're not playing the game on them odd turns" lol

I had to improvise a bit at the end (On turn 5, Shez ended up between Axe Fighter and Mage Cav while Sword Flier was in her spot) but everything turned out fine
Until now there's not a single abyssal legendary/Mythic I coludn't beat with my +10 Summer Claude Team (S! Claude, F! Lillith, Muspell, Duo Peony)💪
Ahh, I'm trying to complete the abyssal battle, but at 5:21 when Shez goes to the right of the red sword flier, she goes above the red sword flier for me. >
I had this problem and then realized Seior didn't have the level 4 skill of her b slot, maybe its that?

I managed to do it by parking brave dimitri with Astrid and bonus doubler seal - he’s soooo busted 😂

My Eir is merged so the units move differently on turn 5. Should I put a seal on her like fortress def or res or life and death?
For some reason, on my F2P account, I decided it would be a good idea to merge away my free Seidr... into +spd copy. The idea of a speedy Seidr was very funny until the next time I thought about it when I realized it wouldn't work
Still worked though, Seidr is +3

From this video we can see that Seidr is going to replace Reggin in future f2p battles.
I kinda abused my B Edelgard on this and baited shez out to kill it before it can murder me and i let B Edelgard tank with DR far save and lyn tanking units that B edelgard might not be able to take. I had Unfinished Duo Cordelia and Winter Dorothea normally i would try my Astra team but they would defo die if they snipe my mythics lol. I dont trust my seidr to live a hit if i put her on a wrong spot she would die lol (cause i dont normally check enemy range) its funny that ive seen B Edelgard die here and there but for some reason my Flame Lyn barely dies to a point that i rarely see my Flame Lyn take damage.... Usually if she does get damaged im in trouble lol lyn and edelgard are my go to front units cause they are fully built (not +10) but thier skills are done unless i can make adjustments to thier builds some other time. (Had to fodder black knight for b edelgard distant counter and DR far save 1-3 that said i manage to get two black knights so i get to keep one).
This pretty much shows how..... underwhelming Shez is as a legendary tbh. Not so much just because Seior shutting her down, but I literally threw a random team at this and was easily able to defeat Shez. Girl has ZERO survivability lol. Getting 15% type effectiveness isn't as useful as Arvals 20% ATK &DEF color buff.
2 rng.....no other form of support...not even self protection .
