Nice presentation. Actually HDFC Bank is just a sourcing channel of HDFC Ltd in the case of home loan files. Means HDFC Bank itself follows PLR method (in the light of HDFC Ltd) .

@@ajanlalreghunadhan9511 Hi, HDFC (NBFC) is using RPLR method. But still their rates are near to Bank rates (PLR) method. They provides 8.45 and SBI provides 8.50. Then which to take? I’m confused where difference lies as HDFC’s rates are also linked with repo rates. Please help

@DevTech Finance Thank you for insightful video. I doubt or concern running in mind is Let say, I want to take loan from HDFC Bank ( not from HDFC finance department) . How would I do comparison for my understanding that I am taking loan with Bank and not with HFC. Because , mistakenly , in past , I took loan from NBFC , I can only understand its pain. So, Now, I want to get it very clear that I am going with Banks and not with any NBFC or HFC.
@DevTech Finance Please share answer to my queries. Also ,one more thing to ask . Is RPLR or PLR is one of the same thing and MCL OR RLLR is one the same thing?
All three are different. Nowadays banks are giving you loans linked to repo rate that is RLLR. Go for it and chose the bank that offers you best convenience as per your choice and feasability. Confirm once before you are taking loan if its based on rllr. Transparency would be maintained as and when repo rate increases/decreses your loan rates will be affected and not by any personal discretion.
As u said RLLR is RBI controlled lending scheme, my first question is, will the banks increase ROI for housing loan, if RBI increases the repo rate? Second question is, is there any chances of hike in ROI, for housing loan, in floating rate based housing loans of housing finance companies/NBFCs, or hike in ROI is rarely happening?
Mam if the repo rate decreases say in January will it get reflected in my jan emi itself / next month onwards or next quarter in rllr
It gets reflected as soon as its applicable. Thus, with emi due in the same month.
what should i choose - SBI or HDFC Ltd?
Go for Sbi...initially it might take more time in loan processing and documentation as compared to hdfc...but once you get it, it would be convenient with rate transparency and lower charges

HDFC Bank follows RLLR while the parent company of hdfc bank "HDFC Ltd" is housing finance company that follows PLR.

I would suggest icici bank...lichfl has many complaints about their customer service and high rates nd charges for existing customers.

Go for icici bank....the interest rate will be linked to repo rate...it would be more convenient and transparent with less hidden charges in long tenure of home loan.
