- We were driving through the Blue Ridge Parkway and found a perfect spot to rest for the night, upon arrival I was shocked by the view and spent some time to study and paint the distant mountains.

You need to get a bigger charcoal, that one’s too dainty. 😝
Great tips! There’s often too much detail in the landscape for me to be able to simplify but I love the way you just boldly block in the colors and take it from there. So inspiring!
Enjoying this and your other videos as you guys journey across America. Awesome.
My wife would have locked herself in the van once she saw the snake! Enjoyed the video!!
It was interesting to watch you experiment with mixing oils with charcoal cheers
Hi Cesar, you're giving Andrew Tischler a run for his money with your new found love of landscapes. Hope this break nourishes your portraiture skills.🎨👍
Oh that cloud time-lapse whilst you waited for the mountains ❤️
Your living my future dream.. My partner and I run a digital art studio for kids in Toronto, CA (Jr Art Lab) but we hope to one day van life it across Canada and paint as we go.. if all goes well that trip we will do make the drive to Argentina one day from Canada painting the trip.. its so exciting to watch your journey... thanks Cesar..
OMG!! So close to home, soo home sick!! Take 80 north to TN, take a right past Bristol onto HWY 23 N to 58 in Virginia...You'd like Natural Tunnel park...soo many little places to see round there for miles😁
Marvelous!!!!! We follow you from Mexico!!!
great as always! Im wondering how you store all your wet paintings in your van
I just keep the page open for a day, the heat/sun is drying them quickly. Plus am using liquin if traveling the next day.
Nitram has to do some of the most useless products ever. A giant charcoal trunk and a black watercolour, lol
Arkansas Buffalo National River! Lost Valley, Steel Creek. Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful. Will be inspiring. Got your Amore T Shirt. Love it. Gonna ware it, at Crystal Bridges Art Museum. Start Conversations. Love you guys. and Thank You for your videos.
Ohmygosh you are in the place that I was born. How often I have wanted to go back home and paint the same scene you are doing here. Thank you Cesar!
I have no idea why it was awesome to end this video in a coin laundry. LOL
Loving the nunchaku demo more than the painting part. 😊Wonder how you learned that and how long before you mastered it.
I would've freaked out if I was emptying my laundry and a dude with a gun strolled by. So casual. :)
Amazing shots and editing! Likewise, the content is excellent. You’ve captured the depth of the blue ridge mountains in their truest form. I like that you show what doesn’t work. Such is life! Very beautiful work guys.
Thanks Quincy!!
What mediums? How do you keep foreground from blending w background
Beautiful area up there. Your just a couple of hours from where I dwell. Rock on and enjoy the travels💚
The Blue Ridge Mountains are spectacular. I don't live far from them. Great scenery.
"Ah, a fellow 'chucker, eh?"
I'm so satisfied with how much sense this comment suddenly made halfway through the video.
I think nice is good and your paintings are excellent even when you seem to not be as happy with outcomes. Just shared opinions for what they’re worth. I admire that you’re venturing into nature sky views etc..
I think this campground is very close to where I live! Did you guys get to see the elk?
Uh oh ,you are in my town...I would have had you come stay with me.Seriously.
Man was really playing with the snake 😂 great stuff as always!!
could you please make an instructional landscape video!
9:19.....it's illegal to drink alcohol while doing laundry in public but wearing a firearm on your hip is acceptable. A flashback to the 19th century perhaps? Hilarious! Love the content and presentation, thanks so much Mr Santos.
Have you ever considered going to the Balkans? I recommend Montenegro :)
Great sir👍
Cesar santos, ixi é brasileiro
Stick to portraits.
Great video...please Cesar your one of the great masters of this time...it would be wonderful if you document your journey with landscape painting....something the great masters couldn't do....please do more videos like this and focusing on the landscape...
Thank You ,Cesar.
Cesar, thanks for the tutorial. One suggestion: your camera should point to the horizon to show us what you see so we can understand what you talk about.
Your life is so envious.... from the distance atleast.......God bless you😊🙏
Super sir
Fantastic and beautiful video! Thank you very much for sharing it with us!
¿Consideraste galazing en lugar de cubrir las montañas con pintura? Entiendo que estás experimentando. ¿Qué piensas? gracias
your videos are so inspiring to me .. i love your piece that you posted on instagram of the birds' nest .. just exquisite!! ( i'm norakag on insta)... thank you as always for inspiration and information and some smiles ,too !! be well .. norakag
One of my favorite views in the whole world. It’s incredible what the humidity does to the landscape, and the outgassing from the beautiful forest makes such beautiful blues and purples. Great place to do landscapes!
Excellent inspiration as usual! Enjoy the journey and stay safe.... just like the old timer at 9:19 😁🇺🇸💕
Stick to painting people and mastercopies..that is all
I gotta start somewhere, am not here to impress you am here to learn.
@@santocesart your awesome bro!! I love your humbleness. I'm actually a really big fan of your work. I like to see more of your pleinaire works. I read your bio and how fast you learned the atelier method. Your mind thinks and processes things differently and I've always felt that boxing gave you that edge. The same sport that gave Steve Huston his edge. And one of my favorite artists of all time Miles Davis. I could be wrong. But It's those connections outside the craft of art that make you greater than. And Admittedly not a big fan of this pleinaire. Your response has definitely made me more interested in seeing you master the art of pleinaire. Peace and Love bro! From your friendly art troll
Nice. I like how you focused on one aspect of the study. In this case Distance. I would have like to see more Color though. Saludos!
Ahhhh, should have kept the charcoaled foreground, I think it might have grown on you.
always
Hi Cesar did you apply any fixative over the charcoal to go over with oils?
Painting skills and Nun Chuck skills? What next unicycling?
Enjoying your journey painting, can't wait for the online class
Disfrútalo Cesar. Maravilloso tu viaje . Besos para los dos.
Cesar have you ever tried watercolors? It would be great if we could see a demo.
if you come to Gettysburg I want to meet you. got your video and a big fan!
You are the real deal Cesar. I so appreciate your videos and spirit.
I thought it would be nice to try making the music more of an ambiance perceived in the background. It would ease the mind of the observer and allow for focus on subject at hand. Brian Eno has interesting sounds, or perhaps Claude Debussy, chopin, or if it must be banjo music perhaps a bit more eclectic. In good faith.
Thanks! We aren't here for nice, we are here to move art around. #ArtMove
Hi Cesar- will you ever do a workshop in Florida?
A man after my own heart ! Glad to see your video ...
when will you upload a complete tutoriel video cesar
Painting out in the open is just so satisfying. This is a great job you did.
Nice video. Cesar, what is the difference between the campintura Versus imprimatura?
Thanks.
Imprimatura is the first layer, priming. Campitura, is a field color to set a mood. They can play together
Cesar, me gustaria ver más trabajos suyo.
Cesar I missed you big man.
Nice art work.
Amazing!
Please do some tutorials
Hi, I have a few on my website, cesarsantos.com and will be creating new ones soon!
