Please Devin. Do a tour or have some kind of concert where I can come meet you and "fan girl" in person. It would be fun if everyone came in 90s attire!
Devin is a beast; also the real creator of the super hit "Yamz" for which he hasn't gotten enough credits; Masego got all of the acolytes (not questioning Masego's talent), but all of the chords in the tune are Devin's!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Devin's music always takes me back to the classic years 80s/90s. Being able to relive those years through music is a feeling that only those who grew up during that time, can understand 🙌🏾
YES ‼️‼️‼️‼️ I'm glad people like Devin is keeping our style of music thriving. It gives you those chills and memories, like I could sit and play any one of his songs and it will unlock that secret level of memories and reminisce 🫠
My 25 and 18 year old always say that the 80s and 90s music is so much better and they wish they were born during that era. But gratefully I’ve exposed them to such great artists like Devin 💜, just so they can enjoy what we 80s babies love so much.
Real Talk shout out to my little cousin Devin Morrison, and to all the listeners upon my request support his music by subscribing to his channel and giving him, a thumbs up. 👍
All jokes aside y'all: If you guys were to go through a lot of his IG, You'd see that he was under immense pressure to drop a follow-up to "Bussin'" because people LOVE his Dream Lobby catalogue, but they wanted the voice behind it to get in front of it! He rose to the [Valentine's Day] occasion. JOB well-done, Devin! Parabens meu irmao! Tchau!
I have to agree with you. When I first heard "Bussin" I couldn't stop playing it for weeks keeping it on repeat. Trying to understand and dissect his style of R&B. It's smooth, sensual and everything that I could think of. Colors, sensual romance, being with a beautiful woman that you've always wanted to be with. The kaleidoscope of chord changes that he does is just beautiful. I'm still waiting for the follow up to Bussin to be honest with you, but we have to let him relax and be in his creative flow where that music can come out freely. No pressure involved. Anita Valentine is definitely a hit with me. I like the simple fact that he's not afraid to take chances with his chord changes and always gets me hitting the repeat button on a lot of his songs. I agree Anita Valentine is a job well done and I wished I had the skill and talent he has to bring the music the way he does. I have a lot of songs in my head, but he would be able to definitely bring them out for the world to hear.
Heard "Bussin" three years ago. Tremendous album. Very unique and different to what is out there in R&B at the moment in my opinion. Love to hear a follow up album. Let's give him a bit more time. We don't want him to rush a project and come out with trash.
Weird combination. Meaning, not faulting you including Ben Tankard as an influence, but to be named among divine entities like Stevie and G. Benson. Geez, that's a stretch. Ben is great, but Stevie literally invented 10 music genres and George is the epitome of melodic improvisation. Ben kind of made gospel tv commercials music for a while. He's great and all, but let's not be mixed up here bruh
@MsBerryVeryMuch i got Take 6 in that list as well. But hey, I've only heard a couple tracks by Ben, mainly his cover of "ribbon in the sky." @ANPHKI Hey, i was trying to just enjoy the music and give my perspective based on what i heard before. But hey you want to come in here and get disrespectful and condescending because you come from a perceived position of superiority. Let's not look down on others for experiencing something different from you, fam. Now that's not very "positive", is it?
@ANPHKI but hey, i should expect a Vaush fan to talk down to me, because after all, that's what you're taught to do is play in the faces of others to "own" them or put them in their "place", then gaslight and play more games when they respond. Anyways, have a nice day. 🤷🏾♂️
@ationXIV My bad if it sounded harsh. I was just a bit surprised by the combination of artists mentioned and just tried to bring a little levity along with it! It's definitely not a diss to Ben Tankard - rather it's ultimate praise to the likes of Stevie Wonder and George Benson, who in my opinion are in a _completely_ another, divine level of artistry. Bar none. I think Ben would probably attest to this himself, he seems like a pretty humble guy with a good sense of humour and is quite entrepreneurial in a lot of other ventures then music. Ben Tankard had some _serious_ jams, but it's like comparing the G league to the NBA if we're comparing him to Stevie. No need to go ad hominem or do further assumptions about me. Hope you have a great day!
I’ve listened your entire catalog since your debut album “Bussin” and you’re criminally underrated!!! Your artistry and musicianship needs to be studied! Your ability to take on past eras of music and carve out your own genre is something not many have had to ability to do. Dreamsoul infuses many elements of RnB, Jazz, Gospel, and Hip Hop all packed into one. The velvet, silky vocals and harmonies are truly the cherry on top. DreamSoul seals the deal for everything you need from nostalgia to simply escaping the world for just a few brief minutes. You’ve made a forever Dream Soulja outta me with hits like Bussin, Garunteed, That’s All, Smile, Ayako, FairyTale, With You, Yamz etc. and this new release is no different. Can’t wait for everything else you have in store!!! #AnitaValentine #dreamsoul
Why is this guy not a major mainstream R&B artist? Accomplished musician/songwriter/producer with such a soulful voice. Meanwhile, crap acts with mediocre talent get all the accolades. Sometimes I'm just at a loss...
I’m really feelin your music. This style of “dream soul” reminds of what they are doing with the synthwave movement, although you’re applying that energy to 80s r&b but still with a modern flair. I think it’s great and can inspire a whole new genre the way synthwave did
This song brings it back to the essence of the 80's and early 90's with the instruments, melody, and the vocal arrangement. Love the way the music transitioned when he gazed at Anita.
Reminds me of Chuckii Booker , Stevie Wonder and Pieces of A Dream. Pretty good for a tune capturing the melodic tone of late 80's to mid nineties feel.Keep DreamSoul alive.
Another MASTERPIECE from one of Music's BEST Composer/Producer/Artist. Thank you Devin Morrison for Anita Valentine on Valentine's Day!!! Peace from PHILLY, Pa......
We've been waiting on that Dev-Mo Soul for awhile now. This joint is a delectable appetizer. We need an entrée of some that soulful sonic gumbo we're used to you serving up. This joint puts you a time capsule when songwriters like you ruled our emotions with every word, note, and vocal. #saluteDev!
It is a masterpiece 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. Thank you for such a beautiful song. It is an incredible pleasure to listen to your songs. I wish you great creative success in the musical field and boundless inspiration for creating as much beautiful music as possible like this. 🎙️🎶🎼🎵🎧✨✨✨👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Remember that video with that girl from "She's Gotta Have It"? She was in one of [the late] Robert Brookins' video with Laurence Fishburne called...ummm..... "Come To Me". Check it out. Also, DM reminds me of Chuckii Booker, too.
This video is so cute! And appropriate for my eyes and ears. Thanks so much brother Devin. God bless you and all your endeavors ❤ God knows I love LOVE. 😍
Right after that beautiful ascending line at 2:40 you hit us with that wonderful keyboard solo where you make a Herbie Hancock/Michael Brecker type of move on us - love it!
Devin, Your music is like a water mist on a summer night, refreshing and enveloping with its warmth, and at the same time like a beautiful woman who kisses passionately ❤
Was listening to 90s and 80s music while visiting my parents yday and ma dukes says it would be nice for music like this to be made now…Thanks Devin Morrison 🙏🏾

I love your new song "Anita Valetine"! Also "On Like Stefan" is one my favorites by you and I would love to hear an extended version of it.🎵🎤🔥
DEVIN, YOU *COOKIN’ !*

Got this on repeat heavy. You killed it with this one.
Thank you for your music, it helps me and others a lot.
