I was in a band called Betty Rage. Cowpunk 🤘. Bettie Page devil pic was used. We played with a bunch of rockabilly and psychobilly bands. So fun and she was and always will be part of the nostalgia scene. Rip beautiful Bettie Page
My friend lived in those apartments, met her once around 98, she was a big lady almost didn't recognize her..her eyes are very unique and very recognizable. Very southern accent
Great video! I am a huge Bettie fan and recently got the city of Nashville to agree to place a historical marker about her outside her old high school. The marker will most likely be dedicated on her 100th birthday (still waiting on a confirmation from the city), and the mayor also agreed to declare April 22, 2023 “Bettie Page Day” in Nashville (that’s her 100th birthday). If you are out and about, we’d be honored for you to cover the dedication on your channel!

Great video. Betty spent most of her time in California going back and fourth to Patton State Hospital in San Bernardino. She would stay there and also at the place where you shown and mention. She was very into Christianity. I have a fond memory to share with all of you, I met Betty at my workplace in the early 2000's. I was working as a Daycare Teacher at First Presbyterian in San Bernardino. I was subbing for the Day Care Cook and inside the kitchen I was preparing lunch for the students. The Church Ladies were having their own Luncheon in the banquet room that was located next to the kitchen where I was. A large older woman with a husky country accent walks into the kitchen. She was going through the cupboards and cabinets, looking for something. She sees me, she leans over on the stainless steel counter , watching me with a smile. I thought to myself, she looks so familiar. Like I have seen her before. But I wasn't sure. She looked like Betty Page. At that time I didn't know much about her. I only knew photographs. "What are you making?" she asked me. I told her "Making lunch for the students at the Daycare." I pointed to the direction. She then turns back and begins going through the cupboard again. Another older lady walks in and says, "Betty it's over here." I looked over to Betty as my mouth dropped. She did her famous wink and smile as she closed the cupboard and walks away. It was a secret story I kept until news of her death. I saw an online story about her death announcement and saw a photograph of her at the Playboy Mansion. She was posing with Anna Nicole Smith and Pamela Anderson. "THAT'S HER!!" I shouted out loud. That was the woman I saw in the kitchen. I finally got closure and can share my story. I will cherish that memory forever.

Bettie had a troubled life, especially later in life down here in South Florida. For a while she worked in obscurity as a secretary at the Boca Raton Christian Academy, which is about 2 mi from where I'm sitting right now.

ok ive been to this place ..i was a teen and i was with my mother and grand mother and we were going to see my great aunt before she passed away and she lived in those apartments. wow!!! I discovered Bette Page from the pin up art of Olivia, when I was a burgeoning Illustrator in the early 90's. 30+ year's later, when I'm doing illustrations just for myself, I still love doing pin-up Pieces. 🤘😁🖖🇨🇦

You could always do a video on another pin up girl by the name of Betty Grable. Betty Grables pin up picture was used as the nose art on the B-17 bomber named the Sentimental Journey based in Arizona.
Betty is buried at Inglewood Cemetery in Inglewood California. Her final resting place is in the Mausoleum of the Golden West, Sanctuary of Dawn. Crypt # A78.

I always loved her, it's a shame she couldn't find a good stable man (or a woman like Bunny Yeager) who would stick by her and support her. As we see in so many young women's lives today, the daddy issues totally destroy these women, sexy women, from Marilyn Monroe and Bettie Page up to many other infamous attractive girls who seize upon seemingly nice older men and always look for the good man they always wanted....story of my life. I determined to only have a child with a good man, even if I had to put up with an occasional jerky behavior, just ask long as (1. no physical abuse and (2. no cheating. (finally did it)
No kat VonD still lives there i don’t think they could sell the house yet I’m not sure what happened but i live very close to that house and i can tell you that she still lives there she didn’t move yet!

Don't ya just love that house. WOW Betty Page. I can't begin to tell you the fantasies I had with that Beautiful lady . I mean she was hot in the early 60s. I was just around 7 or 8 when I first saw a picture of Betty , I wanted a picture of Betty in that leopard bikini to tack up in my bedroom , but I knew my parents would never allow that. But later when I got older I found a magazine of her and it had a lot of her famous photos of Betty in different outfits she owned through out her modeling career. She had a very classic look to her , with her iconic bangs hair cut. I think she just got tired of feeling exploited I guess and decided to stop modeling. She sure was a beauty.

I had three friends as a kid who's last name was Page and I only recently found out Bettie Page was their great aunt. Being a kid I never would have thought of it or have known who Bettie Page even was.

Next April, you should do a follow-up video for Bettie Page on what would've been her 100th Birthday just like what was done recently for Vampira. That would be only fitting, and add more information on other things she was involved in from her past.

@@robd1329 If you look closely during the part when they show her gravesite, you'll notice she was born in April of 1923, and with next year being 2023 that will indicate that she'll truly would've been indeed 100 years of age.
Thanks for visiting Bettie, such a singular spirit... In the mid-'90s, I worked for a magazine dedicated to her. I transcribed two hours of taped interviews she did with the publisher, and hearing her tell her story made my heart bleed for her. Bettie called once, and we had an awkward conversation. She was in post-surgical pain and was glad to talk to an empathetic soul. It was all I could do to not break down sobbing till after she hung up. Bettie was an icon who deserved to revel in her wondrous life--but tightasses robbed her of it, leaving her too broken to fully enjoy her fame when the world finally came to its senses. That stabs me to my core.
True story: my wife and I went on a date to Westwood Memorial almost three years ago, just before the pandemic. We were just wandering around, and she pointed to the ground and said, "Oh, look! Bettie Page!".
She's a fan, as am I. However, I'd almost forgotten that she'd been buried at Westwood. I often get it and Hollywood Forever confused. So, there all of a sudden, my future wife found the final resting place of the Pinup Queen. I'm glad she enjoys my hobby of walking around cemeteries.

I almost got to meet Betty Page before she passed away. She was a patient at a state hospital that’s around the corner from my house but she was a patient at the hospital I work at. I had to go room to room doing medical equipment Inspections & I got to her room I saw her name on the bed roster but thought it was someone with a similar name. Then I heard her speaking & her her accent then I saw her & yup that was her. But I didn’t get to speak to her because I didn’t want to disturb her. Just checked the equipment I had to check & left.
Good video but Idk why people constantly forget Dave Stevens contribution to betties later years. From casting her in his rocketeer comics, driving her around and making sure she received royalties from artist and other people who used her likeness

Bettie was certainly an exceptionally attractive woman with great sex appeal. Her story seems very similar to Marilyn Monroe's in that they were both troubled souls who used their attractiveness to their advantage but at a great cost.
