god i love acheron shes so fucking cool came back to watch this again and i still get the shivers, the music is just so perfect for this cutscene, i hope we get to see more of stuff like this and much much more of acheron
Also, I don't think it even hit Aventurine. At first glance I thought it actually sliced him in half but after a couple of seconds we see him just fine. I think Aventurine didn't take into consideration what Emanator Acheron is from, he was assuming that it's The hunt, so what ultimately saved him here is the fact that Acheron was smart enough to have realized his whole plan. God knows what being slashed by that blade could so to his real body. Even members of the family themselves cannot fix the part the dreamscape that got slashed.

It released a shockwave so powerful it reached a radius well above and beyond the radius of aventurine's final attack, which should have been strong enough to at least destroy all the buildings in the near vicinity, and more or less damage like half of golden hour lol Edit: I think acheron not only has immense damage but also immense expertise in damage control by only fending off the attack but not even making a scratch to aventurine, which imo makes her that much scarier than if she were just unleashing uncontrollable attacks
From the lore : "Emanators are Pathstriders with power directly granted by the Aeons. They are incomparably more powerful than mere mortals. They are typically enforcers of Aeons' wills." So we could say Emanators use the pure power of the chosen path, and I think this single slash was just small/half of her true power.

ENG VA always fail to protray the characters' voice profile accurately and don't really know the intricacies of characters' personality so their tone is, if not always, MOSTLY OFF

There's a hint of enthusiasm in her voice everytime she speaks that you wouldn't think she had such traumatizing past and that she's still a self-annihilator that has had her meaning of life stolen from her, yes she can mostly surpass that effect on her but only when she's on her other form. They also introduced her as "taciturn" and yet she speaks an awful lot and does seem like a sociable person. Now I get that it's not exactly the VA's fault that hyv gave Acheron a lot of lines or dialogues, but it mostly sounds off on en and kr. I'm not blaming the va per se, they probably weren't informed enough, and there's probably no one close to them that can stop and fix the mistake for them unlike in cn. I think jp va are experienced enough to know the intricacies of this stuff and CN va are probably being mentored by the devs themselves. I think hyv also fkd up with Acheron's character. I don't expect her to be the cold type, but for her to be so expressive is a bit uncharacteristic imo.

It is sincerely shameful and daring for ENG and CN dub community to compare those…. to JP va who have to earn their place in an EXTREMELY competitive industry. But the Eng and CN dub audiences aren’t mature nor professional anyway…. On bilibili, there are TONNES of videos showing how CN va FXXK up a character’s important scene in hyv’s games. They seriously need to invite professional va, not online celebrities It is like comparing CN/Eng dub to oscar-level actors and actresses💀🙏
