- At the University of Michigan Medical School, the last few months of training are dedicated in part to the transition to residency through our Residency Prep Courses. Students spend four to eight weeks, depending on the specialty, running through mock codes, simulated paging exercises and targeted didactics to refresh and build practical skills in a simulated clinical environment. Several of our alumni who are now residents talk about how these RPCs helped them get the best start in their new careers.

Hey !! Its about how hard you work ...sometimes there are so many smart people but they don't work hard and are left behind ... so go for it ...study !!...you can be anything if you put your mind and work in it .

no one is naturally intelligent. the best of the best are always hard workers, if you work hard enough im sure you could be a psychiatrist, perseverance and passion can really get you successful. good luck to you tho im sure youll do amazing!!
I'm never going to give up in my dream of becoming a cardiologist.....this is for sure and I will do it even if it means spending my whole life getting into the medical world
How is it going?
Im 14 and I want to become a surgeon when I get older but I am worried that I won’t be able to start a family that I would be too busy and never have time for family. Also to become a surgeon it takes years of school and I don’t want to be 35 years old and still be in school so now I’m not sure what I want to be when I grow up😕
You're 14. Just live a little before you worry about those types of things

You should just worry about college and not family first.
You can do both in the same time. you’re going to be a part time super hero and than you can spend the rest of the day with your family.
This is why I don’t wanna spend so much time in school cuz u only live once do what u want to do if u want to be a doctor go for it but the rest of y’all who wanna live normal lives have fun doing so don’t live a dry life if that makes sense

figure out which one suits you best then look up multiple college/universities to see which one will give you the best of everything that your looking for for an example im going to be in the army rotc program for medical most likely so they will pay for everything and i can go to harvard or anywhere i want to in the us best of luck

Ok I have some stuff to tell you! I am now in 8th grade, and I’m now scared about what I can and cannot take for this career path because of the fact that you need to be really smart and have really got grades to even be accepted into a good college and also be majoring in Pre Med, I have no idea what college I wanna go to, no idea if I’m even smart enough to get into mes school. I am gonna try my best to become of this occupation though. I hope you like Math and Science cause that is what you’re gonna have to be smart in to be accepted into anything close to med school. By taking IB and AP classes can help you get college credits and make it a little bit easier to get into Pre med. If you’re wondering what AP is: it’s like advanced classes on Steroids! I’m not good at math, I’m not good at science. I have a high B in my advanced Science , and in my non advanced math class.. I really hope you get into your dream cause becoming of this will most likely cost more than 200,000 dollars, and it’s not like video games. This is a lot of money that in reality most people cannot get and will stay in debt for the rest of their lives!

I’m a 16 year old sophomore in high school and I’m contemplating over whether I should just be a medical lab scientist or go to med school to later become a pathologist. It’s stressing me out already and I have 2 years of hs left lol
There’s no need to need to know what you want to do once you go into medicine. If you are interested in medicine then sure keep pursuing that but if you are still unsure by the end of HS, then take a major like Biochem that way you can choose what you want to do.
