    Thanks I Know this is late but I finished it and got it to him for his birthday. For the straps I added the beads but left the final knot for him to tie so he can perfectly fit it to his face. Thanks again!!

    Hey so I'm almost done with my first kandi mask!!!! it all makes sense to me now how the stitch works! However last question is, how can you figure out how many beads you'll need for the straps. See the mask I'm making is for a friend and that friend isn't here with me and I don't wanna mess up on this! Please help ASAP!

    • @DiiJaeProductions
      @DiiJaeProductions  10 років тому

      Yay, I'm glad you're almost done with the mask! Straps are probably the trickiest part because of the fact that everyone's face size is different. For this mask I used about 32 beads on each side and it's a little loose on me. If you can't measure it to your friends face, then see what would be a comfortable amount for you and work from there.

    How do you add more fishing wire when you run out?

  • @josevalencia4410

    How long does it take you to make a mask? It takes me between 3-4 hours to make one. I think that's pretty slow...

    • @DiiJaeProductions
      @DiiJaeProductions  10 років тому

      Nah, that's not slow. That's average speed. I take about 2-3 hours making mine, usually. But sometimes I can crank out a mask in an hour, but that's dependent on what style of mask I'm making and the pattern I'm using.

    hey i have a question about perlers. i made a few perlers and i put them on my 3d cuff but the fell apart. how can i keep them from braking anything that i can do to make them stronger?

    • @DiiJaeProductions
      @DiiJaeProductions  9 років тому

      +jesus “chuy” Cervantes Hi! So, did the perlers break or did the actual cuff break?

    • @jesuscervantes2580
      @jesuscervantes2580 9 років тому

      The perler. im trying to make awesome kandi to wear and trade with other ravers. But my perlers fall a part. What can i do to make them stronger, or have a stronger hold/bond?

    • @DiiJaeProductions
      @DiiJaeProductions  9 років тому

      Oh, okay. I have the same problem too. The only solution I found works is to melt them down more, and then wait for them to be fully cooled before removing them from the paper.

    Is there a way to replace a bead after the mask has already been finished?

    • @DiiJaeProductions
      @DiiJaeProductions  9 років тому

      thisisbuddy1 No, there isn't, to put it quite simply. The only way I can think of, is for you to redo your mask completely. There have been plenty of times when random beads fly off of my cuffs, I have yet to find a remedy for that.

    how did you tie the fishing wire together when you run out of wire and want to add more to it?? my wire kept on getting undone. I feel like the wire is too thick :(

    • @DiiJaeProductions
      @DiiJaeProductions  9 років тому

      Yeah, that's an issue I run into all the time. What's your line thickness (20lbs. 30lbs. 40lbs. etc.)? The thicker it is the harder it is to knot securely. What I usually do though, is tie off the end that's being used and then tie on the new piece of line right before that knot. That way there are two knots that kind of hold each other in place instead of a single knot between the two pieces of line sliding across each other.
      I hope that makes sense.

    • @jayleeh65
      @jayleeh65 9 років тому

      yea i understand what you mean, i have 30lb btw...it is pretty thick... i should have gotten a thinner one :/

      I know, I just bought 30lb line and totally face-palmed because of how difficult it is to tie. lol.

    making my first mask what string do you use i know you say fishing line buy is that any kind of fishing line??

    • @DiiJaeProductions
      @DiiJaeProductions  10 років тому

      Raymond Garcia Yeah, any kind of fishing line would work. :)I mean, you can really use any kind of string/cord/elastic/etc. But I just prefer fishing line because it's thin yet durable.

    • @ELRey0724
      @ELRey0724 10 років тому

    • @DiiJaeProductions
      @DiiJaeProductions  10 років тому

      I can't really suggest one, but you can go onto KandiPatterns.com and look at different mask patterns, the technique would basically be the same.

    • @DiiJaeProductions
      @DiiJaeProductions  9 років тому

      I got mine from Wal-Mart. It was a back of 250 beads I think; half silver & half gold.

    I can't figure out how to add more string ._. Help?

    • @DiiJaeProductions
      @DiiJaeProductions  9 років тому

      Christian Ojeda Just cut another piece of string or elastic and tie it to the end of your last piece. Make sure it's a tight knot though. I'll put out a knots video later, but for right now you can Google different kinds of knots. :)
