I WISH I HEARD THIS SONG WHEN I WAS IN AFGHANISTAN COUSE THIS DARK SHIT PREPAIRS U FOR WHATS TO COME .I GOT MAD LOVE FOR THIS SONG AND YOUNG DEAD MEN OFF THE PASSOVER CD. THEY SHOULD GET WAY MORE LOVE THEN THEY DO .MAD PROPS KEEP IT UP! 3T0 SOUTH PHILLY GRAYS FERRY.
I remember hearing these for the first time when they supported The Black Keys at Manchester Academy in 2006. They opened with this and me and my dad turned to eachother and just said "Jesus Christ". They absolutely blew me away.
I wasted so many years of my "musical apprenticeship" attempting to master my instruments and write busy sounding and complex music. Simple and diving tunes like this beats everything. There is way more texture and atmosphere in this song than in so many "over played" type songs.
I heard this on the radio some time last summer, I think. It had been a long time since I heard any rock music that really blew my mind and haunted me for a while. Unfortunately, I didn't hear the band's name, so I eventually forgot about this song. Recently, I heard it on the radio again, and I was lucky enough t hear the band's name. Keep up the fantastic work, guys!
the drums are relentless...i like stuff like this..its dark.."and he closes up his fist to see if they exsist" maybe a reference to druggies / sheep...my fav black angels tune
@marvelac because sadly enough people fall for trends in music and are easily influenced by what the present social hype is. specially with todays technology. these guys, and girl are awesome
@marvelac - Majority of people find it hard to think original thoughts for themselves. Taste is original. It's what you like despite what other people say you should like, for reasons that are your own. Thus, most people have no taste.
@Nicookr I agree, im 13 and i hate the shit of today. The 90's were the best (to me), then the 70's. then there's newer bands like black angels, the whigs, and kings of leons older stuff is pretty good.
@Mosixman wtf man? is it really that crazy. i tried some and my experience was just extreamly brite colors. but yea if i knew about these guys earlier i would be tripping balls
The Emire of God is sterted to be created on the planet Earth! I am here to tell you the truth that everything is LOVE... The begining is in Poland on my/our Blog - "Wewnętrzny spokój" and this is mean "inner peace", so lets the party on this beautifull planet begin!
ahh fuck yes this song is epic. EPIC! i cant stop listening to this track. Saw them live in sydney and might i say, fucken awesome. only regret was not droping a tab :(
I'm sorry but I am in part the cause of the demise of your enjoyment and satisfaction from listening to this music. Its only natural to love sharing something you enjoy with the hopes that others too will enjoy them. Besides how do you know they wont go down in history as a band like pink floyd, or ccr, or the who or other bands with similar standings? Be optimistic bro, it suits you more :)
@de4dr4bbit oi. i resent this as a "pubescent teen" myself. maybe a majority prefer that shit, but its not that large of a majority anywho... just saying man, it hurts to be discriminated against like that.

I really like that you and your dad were going to shows together.
quickly becoming my favorite band
***** RIGHT?! :D
I've only known them a few months and I'm entranced!! Best neo-psych I've heard in a long while.
Sometimes it gives me a 70s doors-like feeling...I love it!
Their songs take me away to another place, where I'm at peace. Few bands make me do this. This just goes to show how incredible they are.
I wasted so many years of my "musical apprenticeship" attempting to master my instruments and write busy sounding and complex music. Simple and diving tunes like this beats everything. There is way more texture and atmosphere in this song than in so many "over played" type songs.
Yea, I've learned as a drummer people like a steady, constant rhythm flow instead of fills every other riff.
A dark, absorbing, and strangely mysterious kind of sound. Awesome band, too.
the soundtrack our lives... rock n roll yeah
PSYCHEDELIC GARAGE ROCK AWESOME
This is the kinda band iv been waiting a long time for.
This is back to the roots...

@litos1251 Hell yes! I started to notice that dark music is really the only kind worth listening too.

Pozdrav za Andjelku.
Coo song.
This song makes me think of a man, who loses his mind in solitary confinement.
Don't We have a Special place, where We do that, without being convicted of something?

This song reminds me of Apocalypse Now..

Did you listen to the song? The empire is an evil one.
And?
I really don't see how they are reminiscent of the Grateful Dead...
Morgan Shepard i agree the ded connections not there if someone had mentioned the doors i would have agreed
We do! But we're in the minority.
keep music evil
They're way better than the Dead. Just saying. Country Joe and the Fish were way better than the Dead too.
No, it doesn't. Don't be a selfish hipster, the band doesn't exist for you and a select few.
