    I'm an older man and have had five back surgeries in the last 12 months. Therefore, I bought two 20 gallon plastic containers (like large bottles) from amazon, a drill-attached fluid transfer pump from ACE hardware (couldn't find it anywhere else), a three-step stool, and some clear hose I attached to both sides of the pump. I use one of the 20 gallon to accept the old oil and pour the correct amount of the new oil in the other. I then put the step stool near the vehicle (I do this for my TYM and my F-250) and use my battery operated drill on the pump and transfer the oil from the 20 gallon container into the vehicle. I wash everything out with brake cleaner in between different kinds of oil (transmission fluid versus engine oil). It's MUCH easier!

      I LOVE the drill pump idea! I'll ahve to see if I can find one! I have a few tractor implements I'd like to suck everything out of!

      We have a trampoline in that same area which has survived many storms over the last 6 years, so I figured that would be the best place to put one. It's so tough to add buildings out here :(

    Hey Suzanne you could just make the green house the old fashioned way. Cinder blocks waist high with loops made of rebar for the top. Then fill the cinder blocks with cement. Solid as a rock. The clear plastic comes in much thicker gauge so it won’t blow around so much. A glass top is even better and can be vented. I would have only changed the engine oil. The other stuff was clean. Glad to see you well and getting ready for a new season. Good luck for 2022 🍀

    Suzanne, Enjoyed your video. I get to do a lot of first services at the Deere dealer I work at. First filter removals are a bitch Lol. The plugs at the top of the front axle by the wheels are used as air vents to let the oil drain faster and also fill faster.

    Not sure how your oil drain plugs are set up on your oil pans but my plugs are in the rear of the pan, so I pull my front end up on my utility trailer and drain it, and do
    All the front end work I can, such as greasing, draining front axle, and oil while it’s up for more Room underneath, then do the same to the rear. Have to recheck the oils after refilling when tractor
    Is level but makes it a lot easier
    To get to everything. Just a thought, not sure if it will help on you TYM

    I see you used an excellent choice of engine oil . Peterbilt truck s come factory filled with that brand also.Don,t feel bad about the 100 hrs my apu unit that has either Yanmar or Kubota 2 cyl engine s.They also recommend 50 hr 1st drain interval but after that a 1000 hr interval.My 22 Peterbilt 579 just hit 40k mi and at 1100 hrs I have to wait until 70k mi for for 1st PM service.On highway use has longer interval,but has a secondary bypass oil filter also.

    Hello. I am looking into getting either a 494 or the 574 and having trouble decided on what transmission I would rather have. Do you folks have any talking points on the shuttle or do you wish you would have got the HST. Thanks.

    • @This1LifeWeLive

      depends. Erik swears the hydrostat would have been better since he does loader work and grapple work with it. BUT, it's small and nimble for fieldwork and hydrostat does NOT like long hours of running, especially with hydraulics or pto engaged. (brush hogging for example or hayrake). I love using it for raking and tedding hay, and brushhog work. Hydro would have allowed our son to drive it, AND erik is awful with a geared tractor. BOTH of them he's repeatedly gotten STUCK IN GEAR this year . . . Drives me nuts I swear. So the old addage is, if you plan for hours running laps in a field, geared. if lots of loader forward and back work, then hydro :)
      Honestly, wish I had one of BOTH, hahaha!

    • @nastynova7632
      @nastynova7632 2 роки тому

      @@This1LifeWeLive Thank you for your input. I do not plan on during laps in a field just have loader work and box blade work lined up in my future. I know I will get more pulling power from the geared, just was unsure of how well you feel the clutch has been holding up and the smoothness of the shuttle lever. Thanks.

    Never admit to not following recommended changes. Use the BOX end of wrenches so you don't round off the corners unless it is a square head. I expect that was a Metric size. 6 Point socket and Breaker/Johnson Bar works best. Sometimes try to tighten them slightly first.
    Many suggest NOT to put oil into the new filter when changing. That oil does not get filtered initially. Your portables should be anchored with a line to the peak at each end to a stake or anchor in the ground 10' away. Those broken pieces can be spliced buy using tubes or pipes inside them and bolting or pop riveting them into place.

    • @This1LifeWeLive
      @This1LifeWeLive  2 роки тому

      I will go throuogh and reinforce behind the broken ends of the greenhosue. Thankfull it's still attached. The chicken shelter is tougher because it would need the broken ends cut so it fits together smoothly. But at least on that one only a few pieces broke, the others just lost their screws

    With that greenhouse, the best thing to have done is probably cut as much of the plastic off that you can, otherwise the entire structure becomes a sail and gets destroyed or damages something else as it shears off and tumbles away possibly hitting other structures. Tough situation.
