I’ve always wanted to get underway with you guys. I’ve 23 years in the USCG, drove 44s, and 47s. Northern Maine, Outer Banks, years and years in Alaska.
You know they are not messing about when the are hitting the water and are at full power BEFORE the have the masts and gantry raised, normaly the boat is lowered out of the boat house and these are raised and locked into place before the boat is released!

Yep, difference between proceed to scene and “immediate launch”.
I have experience of a Tenby lifeboat launch as I live in Skewen South wales

I believe they did find a guy on the rocks but he was happy taking photos and didn't want to be rescued LOL
It says above "thankfully that person was found safe and well on dry land"
