- Here’s some footage from Tenby lifeboat launching as #StormBrian arrived on our shores. They launched to reports that someone was in the water but thankfully that person was found safe and well on dry land. Coastguard rescue teams and the Coastguard Rescue Helicopter (187) were also involved in the search. Stay safe when conditions are poor like this, if you see anyone in trouble call 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
The conditions the RNLI go out in exceeds the limits of the 52' motor lifeboat, which is unimaginable. When it was the worst of the worst, the Invincible was getting underway. My unit considered the RNLI the best sailors in the world. If I ever venture to the UK, I'm stopping by to meet the heroes.

I have experience of a Tenby lifeboat launch as I live in Skewen South wales
You know they are not messing about when the are hitting the water and are at full power BEFORE the have the masts and gantry raised, normaly the boat is lowered out of the boat house and these are raised and locked into place before the boat is released!
Yep, difference between proceed to scene and “immediate launch”.
So.....was there anyone found that day?
I believe they did find a guy on the rocks but he was happy taking photos and didn't want to be rescued LOL
