The Morse code is Walts opening day speech. Personally I would’ve added little mermaid to this list. Always has a short line and stops all the time. Not to mention the AC.
That's what's so great about Disneyland, is that you actually have that opportunity to relax. In Florida, its impossible to get away from the heat and humidity, even in the shade.
The Morse code is Walt Disney’s opening day speech. Also my favorite on this list is The Art of Animation. That place is just perfect to me. Especially if I’m coming in from the rain, all wet and cold, and I’m greeted with the warmth and the music and the art😍😍I can’t wait to be able to be there again😭
Another good spot is the seating area behind the Harbour Galley (where the Columbia parks). You can get a peek at the river and the bottom of the drop of Splash Mountain.
Glad to see the old motorboat dock area on the list. I remember relaxing there on my last trip to Disneyland with my dad after walking around all morning with zero bathroom breaks. Definitely a good spot out of the way to take a breather.
My relaxing place at Disneyland has to be Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. It's just gives me such a great feeling when I watch it or go inside the Opera house.
My favorite spot to chill is Art of Animation, especially when “I See the Light” plays & all the screens show the glowing lanterns. I get chills every time.
as a French Fan I couldn't tell my favorite place to relax in the US parks (hopefully someday I will be able to). but in Disneyland Paris just seat in the Molly Brown Steamboat around big thunder mountain this is really the place to relax (especially at night fall).
That area to the right in DCA where there’s “nothing” used to have DCA’s smoking area before they did away with all of them. My dad and brother used to stop there for “breaks” haha.
Whenever I’m hot and need a break from the crowds, I head into the air conditioned theater of Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. Cool, dark and no one is ever there.
On my last trip to Disneyland I found that spot behind Grizzly River Run, and absolutely loved it. It really is hidden, and sooo peaceful. Just listening to the waterfalls could have put me to sleep☺️ Also, the Morse code is Walt's opening day speech
'To all who come to this happy place....welcome.' Also...fav relax zone was the old Aladdin Oasis restaurant before it turned into Tropical Hideaway. Otherwise, it's a nap on the Disneyland Railroard.
My friend and i sometimes went to disneyland just to play pokemon go and we went round on the train like 3 or 4 times just hitting pokestops and catching pokemon, its v nice
You missed one - Starbucks in Downtown Disney, rope drop, and then Tom Sawyers/Pirates island. You'll be there alone, quietly watching the Columbia and Mark Twain go by or watching the guests flowing over the bridge by Pirates. After you've sipped your coffee, maybe gotten a great story from the cast member who is the only other person on the island (and perhaps used the only other single stall bathroom in the park) you're caffeinated, imbued with Disney spirit and ready to go. Of course you may have missed ROTR because the wifi is spotty but if you're an AP or it's your 3rd day, you'll be at peace with that. Later on, over in DCA, the Grizzly peak trails offer quiet a few shady and relaxing benches.
There is this quiet pathway from Frontierland to Fantasyland. That tends to always be empty especially at night it’s mostly empty. There are benches there. That area has always stood out to me as relaxing.
One of my favorites is sitting by the ragtime piano. As you enter the park and get to the end of Main Street, it's on the left. Fun to sit there in the evenings and make requests. Some of the people who sit there are passholders who go there often.
I have two places but you can’t get to one of them anymore. The first is the outdoor seating of the Hungry Bear restaurant. You can sit with your lunch and watch the Mark Twain cruise past (but don’t throw French fries at the canoes). The second place was to sit on the bench in the Court of Angels. Now you need a Club 33 membership to be relaxed.
The Animation building is literally my favorite. I’m so glad it got no.2, because every time I go I will literally spend an entire loop of the music sitting in there.
I love that you included the train. I always tell people with kids, eat lunch early and then get on there and let the little ones relax and maybe snooze a little while you hold them
I think you HAVE to mention the Main Street Cinema. First off, it's air conditioned. Yes, I know. Mind blowing. It's a great way to get out of the heat. Second, it's an opportunity to watch multiple original Disney shorts. Like Steamboat Willie, Plane Crazy, etc. The ambiance is also great. I can't judge crowds or anything but it's been decently empty every time I've gone in. It's mainly standing, but it has a raised platform in the middle of the circular room and you can sit down on the edge. I love it there.
I agree with much of this. Also, the creek in Critter Country is very relaxing at night. A Bug's Land was magically relaxing at night. I loved hanging out at the other side of New Orleans Station and chatting with engineers when the train was closed. Ahh, nostalgia. Glad Fowler's Inn got an honorable mention; it's my favorite spot for morning park yoga. 10) I believe in the magical healing properties of the Chili Mango Dole Whip! 8) My favorite route to exit at the end of the night.
I love the Gummy Glen loading area and the fountain area by the Julep bar. Good places to just sit and take it all in. It may sound stupid, but some of my favorite Disney memories are in those spots!
No longer available to us commoners, but my NUMBER 1 favorite spot to relax was Le Court des Anges. It was always a quiet and empty spot where you could sit on the staircase, look up and around to bask in the 360 view of the quaint little court, and when you time it right, you get to hear the jazz band in the distance OR have them walk down the staircase from above where you get to tip your hat to them and say hello!
Best WDW spot: on the bus from magic kingdom to yacht/beach club late at night w that beachy music going. Only thing putting you to sleep faster is a left jab from Mike Tyson himself
As soon as you enter Frontierland from the Hub and take an immediate right, the path way to the Royal theater is a perfect place to take some phone calls. It is between lands so the music is pretty dull and I would always go to this spot to facetime friends or family in the parks in a pretty dang quiet place. Some nice benches as well.
Walt Disney's Opening Day speech is in Morse Code. In 1985, I had the privilege of being at one of the high schools in Anaheim to have been invited to participate as a "Balloon artist" team member for the SkyFest 1,000,000 balloon release celebration. As a result, we were given special passes to get into the park that weekend for free. They had opened the park for 60 hours straight that weekend and my friends and I never left the park for the whole time. We planned ahead and brought earplugs with us ... and here is the reason why. We went onto It's a Small World, each of us taking a bench, and slept. We happened to know the person working the ride, and he told us that as long as there was no one waiting in line to ride it, he would just let us continue on the ride as long as we wanted! In went the earplugs! So, for me, that has been the most relaxing place in Disneyland. Just wanted to share. BTW ... I still have the Button with the "Balloon Artist" sticker on it that gave us entrance to the park! As always ... Have a better day!
A couple of my favorite spots. At Hungry Bear, stay on the upper level and go all the way to the back. It is usually not crowded and has lovely views of the Rivers of America. We go there to eat and chill out. There's also the short walkway to the right of Harbor Gallery. It goes out to the Rivers of America. There have been some chairs and tables to eat. No one seems to know of this. Lastly, the porch on Main Street. It's really popular, but if you can, it is a great shaded place for people watching.
Most relaxing spot for my sister and I: at Hungry Bear restaurant, on the top level seating, anywhere along the fence next to where the train passes. It’s so serene and every once and a while you can hear the train chugging closer, and you get to wave as it goes by. My favorite is when you get to see all the people on the train not expecting to see you and they happily wave back as they go past. I really really miss Disneyland right about now as I talk about this.. love the vids as always ♥️
My parents always find Disney to be a stressful trip but it’s a place where I don’t mind the crowds and lines. I love the music, scenery, and theming of everything. So much goes into this park and it’s nice to enjoy it all
While these are all great places to take a breather, my favorite is Pixie Hallow. I just love everything about that little hidden jewel of a spot. The water features, the music, the little walk deep into the "forest" where Tink lives. At night I like to grab a Starbucks, and settle in to watch it's little water and light show. It's awesome and so peaceful.
@@OffhandDisney what do you think about the Democrats making sure disney doesn't open? I mean they kinda shot themselves in the foot by supporting the same people who are forcing them to lose soooooo much money.
Another quiet spot in Disneyland is this seating area in Tomorrowland that has a big sphere statue that rolls in place and is also a fountain. (I am explaining this so poorly.) We would go to it all the time when I was a kid and my family were in-state passholders. I have an anxiety disorder and would get too stimulated as a kid because of it. We would go there when I needed to take a break bc I was allowed to touch the statue/fountain which helped and it was also quiet.
It was always so relaxing walking down main street at the end of the day after watching a show and sneaking another ride in to give some time for the park to clear out. The soft music and the beautiful lights. So relaxing
No Mark Twain/Columbia along the Rivers of America? And although it’s a show, Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln is another great place to sit down for a bit.
The seating back behind Harbour Galley. No one goes back there - you can enjoy a delicious lobster roll while watching the mark twain go by. That's the best spot.
Omg my brother and I would go to the animation pavilion and sit in the character drawing demo. There was this one artist who have the best ASMR voice we never wanted to leave
I like the little Winnie the pooh corner in critter country! There are benches in the shade, peaceful music, a little stream where you sometimes run into ducklings, and a candy shop that has ac! For me its perfect esp since Galaxy's Edge opening has made critters country much less crowded :)
I dub the train as my power nap spot lol When I feel like I need to nod off for a while and don't wanna waste my time going back to my hotel I take a quick snooze on a round trip around the park lol
One of my fav relaxing moments at Disney: Christmas time, park closing, sitting at the train station, listening to the music and observing the empty street (a rare sight to see) :")
Thank you for this video. It was very informative and a good reminder for all park guests. I have literally had one of the worst days ever and it's only noon. just watching and listening to this pleasing video has made me feel less horrible and calmed me down.
the dock/seating area next to the restrooms on tom sawyer's island is a great place for a mini picnic in the park! or up on the balcony of the golden horseshoe. if you're all the way in the corner near the stage, hardly anyone bothers you (as long as there isn't a show going on of course)
Last time I was there, my husband and I took a lot of rest stops. I really enjoyed the pier at California Adventure, cuz I live near Santa Cruz and it was just something familiar to me that I would associate with relaxing. Lol it may have been kinda crowded but it felt like home.
When my wife and I honeymooned at Disney World in 2002, we discovered the wonder of the People Mover, and were very disappointed when we found Disneyland didn't have one. I feel your pain. But my family loves relaxing at the Animation studio, at the water's edge near Country Bears Cafe, and the tiny pathway between Tomorrowland and the path to Fantasy Land.
In Disney World my family always take a break at Epcot by going on the American adventure and just take a short nap (it’s so dark that it’s perfect to just close your eyes)
I feel an Honorable Mention for the list for me is that little alcove by Pirates, the Pin Store, and right next to Club 33. Occasionally a Cast Member will walk by on the stairs, otherwise the Guests all walk by on the other side of shops.
for some reason, as someone with high anxiety, the whole park is relaxing to me. high crowds, screaming children, loud music... it doesn’t matter, the minute i step into the parks i’m so relaxed. ps the morse code is walt’s opening day speech!!
There is a path behind harbors gallery in critter country where there is some table you can eat at. It has a great view of the rivers of America and the end of final drop on splash mountain, sooooo relaxing.
There are 3 places that I thought would be on this list (in no particular order): 1. Mark Twain Riverboat, 2. Tom Sawyer Island and 3. the building to the right as you enter DL where The Disney Gallery, The Disneyland Story and Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln are/were at.
One of my favorite places to relax is the little pathway that wraps around the back of Harbour Galley and passes over the Splash Mountain river. Nobody ever walks back there, and it's a nice place to sit and eat a lobster roll or bowl of soup.
Opening day speech at the NOQ station! My favorite entry, by park: Grizzly Peak trail in DCA and the train in Disneyland Park. This list is what I truly miss about being able to go to Disneyland. Thank you for keeping the feels alive.
Ah yes offhand Disney the only creator who actually makes me laugh out loud and puts the most effort into his videos than all of UA-cam combined. Thanks for being the most needed escape after the worst day ever
I recommend going to the Hungry Bear Restaurant and heading all the way to the back of the seating area on the balcony. Sitting by the water, watching the people go by the the path below, and having a snack is very relaxing!
Relaxing at Disneyland is one of the best ways to experience the magic🌠 One of my favorite places to relax is Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. Also.... "To all who come to this happy place, Welcome." The beginning of Walt's speech at Disneyland's opening is what we hear in Morris Code.
My favorite place to relax is the Carthay Circle Lounge. It’s not quite as free as the other options on your list, but it is quiet, has excellent climate control, and delicious drinks and small plates.
The best place (and food) is right across from the Thunder Mountain Queue. Theres a little lunch table area that usually is empty. You have Tom Sawyer Island and the Mark Twain to look at while you eat a massive turkey leg that you can buy only a few yards away. Good for just after Thunder Mountain😄
I used to be a season pass holder, I've since moved away, I would do the Storytellers Cafe at the Grand Californian around 2-3 pm. After lunch, before dinner, quiet, full menu, great service. Get a seat by the fire, especially if it's rainy or cold. Perfect hour break from the crowds. I had the bad luck of having rain every day I planned a Disneyland day. My daughter would tease me about it. If anyone else planned, sun, me, rain. So sitting by the fire for an hour was a great way to warm up and dry out our jackets and stuff. Side note, the food there is excellent, the buffet is pricey but the most amazing buffet I've ever had.
When my wife and I started going a couple times a month we got to where we would go just to relax and chill. We are people watchers and there are some nice places to relax. California Adventure has some a lot of places to sit and relax.
The Morse code is Walts opening day speech. Personally I would’ve added little mermaid to this list. Always has a short line and stops all the time. Not to mention the AC.
Agreed. It’s my favorite with that AC and usually zero wait!
Little mermaid is extremely relaxing. Can not agree more. The under the sea effect is what it's all about. 👏
Winnie the pooh as well
Jimi444 The Fourth too much bouncing
Hannah Moats that doesn’t sound freezing, that sounds lovely.
Also- Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln is a good, air-conditioned break from the crowds. (also-ALL the history!)
That’s my Re charge place haha nice dark quiet
I’d agree up until that part of the history segment with the abrupt cannon fire when it’s completely dark.. gets me every time lol.
it'll be better once Biden's there
That's what's so great about Disneyland, is that you actually have that opportunity to relax. In Florida, its impossible to get away from the heat and humidity, even in the shade.
Living with the Land would like a word with you
Plenty of indoor attractions at Magic Kingdom that have short waits or shows with indoor waiting. I think it's hardest at Hollywood Studios.
This is 100% my favorite spot.

Now i feel so relaxed!
@SuperRedYoshiRyuto I care :)
@@JavaCake same :)
Yeah Imma need a Disney World version and if Living With The Land isn’t on it we riot
gonna need to be a top 20. so many hotels, so many places to naps
He likes that attraction (as do most smart ppl), I'm sure it would make the cut
i didn’t notice this was only disneyland and i was waiting for living with the land the whole time
or the the music show that i can't remember the name of. the one where donald steals mickey's sorcerer hat
As an ASD individual, living with the land is the best
The morse code is part of Walt’s opening day speech “To all to come to this happy place, welcome. Disneyland is your land”
Bingo!!!
Glad to see the old motorboat dock area on the list. I remember relaxing there on my last trip to Disneyland with my dad after walking around all morning with zero bathroom breaks. Definitely a good spot out of the way to take a breather.

That seating area above the wine bar in California adventure is a great place to Chillax! 😎
as a French Fan I couldn't tell my favorite place to relax in the US parks (hopefully someday I will be able to). but in Disneyland Paris just seat in the Molly Brown Steamboat around big thunder mountain this is really the place to relax (especially at night fall).
A trip around the Rivers of America on the Riverboat is relaxing, so is Great Moments of Mr. Lincoln.
The Morse code is typing out Walt’s opening day welcome speech.
That area to the right in DCA where there’s “nothing” used to have DCA’s smoking area before they did away with all of them. My dad and brother used to stop there for “breaks” haha.
I love the wall seats by the Alice in wonderland rabbit statue. You can hear the howling of the matterhorn and every 10 minutes see the monorail go by
Walt’s Opening Day Speech is what the Morse code is typing out
Tom Sawyer's Island. So peaceful. Everytime.
Sitting on the Mark Twain too:)
I mean, other than the shrieking kids running around wild

In Disney World my family always take a break at Epcot by going on the American adventure and just take a short nap (it’s so dark that it’s perfect to just close your eyes)
The top relaxing spot: My desk, bingeing all the Offhand Disney videos
I was about to say that (other than the screams of people on Splash Mountain) the path near Fowler's Inn was a real secluded and peaceful spot
Opening day speech at the NOQ station! My favorite entry, by park: Grizzly Peak trail in DCA and the train in Disneyland Park. This list is what I truly miss about being able to go to Disneyland. Thank you for keeping the feels alive.
Hot chocolate by the fireplace at the Grand Californian is one of the most relaxing things for me.
The railroad is great because it’s chill, scenic, fun, and you can have snacks!
the morse code is walts speech from opening day, no?
Relaxing at Disneyland is one of the best ways to experience the magic🌠 One of my favorite places to relax is Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln.
Also....
"To all who come to this happy place, Welcome." The beginning of Walt's speech at Disneyland's opening is what we hear in Morris Code.
Morse code: was it Walt's opening day speech?
yes, it was.
Yup!
Amazing! I actually had one of my best days ever at DL when it was raining!
The swim-up bar in the pool at the hotel.
Finally, someone brought up the heavenly Mint Julip! I do love my dole whips but the julips are the most refreshing drink in the parks.
When my wife and I started going a couple times a month we got to where we would go just to relax and chill. We are people watchers and there are some nice places to relax. California Adventure has some a lot of places to sit and relax.
