Monster Mansion (formerly Monster Plantation and originally, Tales of the Okefenokee) is a mill chute ride at Six Flags Over Georgia located in Austell, Georgia. Aboard six-passenger boats, riders pass through nine scenes along the 700 foot-long flume, passing by over 107 original animatronic characters.

I wonder if the misty face before the marsh will ever be animated again. Over a decade ago, like in 2009 when the ride was rebranded as Monster Mansion it used to have lip sync, but after about a year it was just the still image. I assume it was something that may have kept breaking or stopped working correctly. Does anyone know if there are any plans to bring that feature back?

@@theatlantaenthusiast It wasn't a super complex animation, just a square mouth that squashed and stretched for lip syncing and the eyes would move around. (Though I dont know how complex it was to project something like that. I imagine it was at least semi difficult since it was gotten rid of) I know there are some videos from 2009 where it moved, but the videos don't do it justice for how it looked in person.
Great Video! Did ride ops have problem with you filming? Going to SfoG next weekend and would love any tips as to filming on monster mansion cause I head SF can be picky.
Usually Yes but I went during Coasterfest so filming was pretty okay. As long it’s safety secured. But during regular season they usually strict about it. But i recommend not to bring any gopros/etc. They must likely be taken or turned away from entering. But i definitely will be making SFOG First Timers Tips Video in the future! Thank for the suggestion!
Monster mansion needs to leave park it is now out dated please get rid of it even though it has been a worth while attraction. Better things need to come around😢😮😅
