Great video. I’m 59 years old and on the fence regarding retirement. My wife and I recently paid off our house and saved approximately $1.1M. Further, I’ll collect a small pension of $24k annually, beginning at age 62. The roadblock is healthcare insurance. Just for two people, the premiums are $1,200 per month. With that said, my job is extremely stressful. I know retirement would be beneficial for my physical and mental health but I just can’t pull the trigger. But as you mentioned, our remaining time on earth is unknown and never can be reclaimed.
We celebrated being retired. Was never a scary option but a reward after years of working. Still happy and grateful to be retired and being able to choose how we fill our day. Have a wonderful week. 👌🙋♀🥝
The things I wanted to were things that I really shouldn’t do at the age of 60. But I couldn’t do it then cause I was working and raising a family. Now I have to look for age appropriate things to do. Because I’m not young and stupid anymore.
As long as you're debt free, do it! It's easy and fun. If your bored and need structure in your life, work two days a week. It keeps you feeling alive and useful.
That’s a tough question. We know the cost of living in Florida is high. It’s good that you have no debt! Run your expenses. If the numbers say you can then do it but since you’re only 63 you have to figure in healthcare until you’re 65. That might be the decision maker.
What do people do for health insurance. I'm healthy and never use it ( I go to a NP and pay out of pocket) but I still HAVE to have it. If I quit my job, how do I pay for expensive medical insurance that is forced on us.
I was 63 when I retired. I got on the marketplace and found insurance for two years until I qualified for Medicare. I went with Ambetter insurance. It was mostly equivalent to what I had before retirement. You just have to fill out a bunch of information to see what your premium will be. Mine was very affordable because I am a non smoker and healthy. ~ Terri
Good morning ☀️ ☕️ ☕️…on my second cup sans tequila🍹🌵🏜️ai yai yai ¡Happy Cinco de Mayo y cinco anos dentro de retiro! Many happy days ahead, Keith & Terri! 🎉🍾🥳🎈🌵😳
If a person is financially able to retire, it's a blessing. Make the most of it.
We totally agree!

Have you checked into the marketplace for healthcare? I had to use that for 2 years until I turned 65
I need to look into the ACA marketplace to get a better idea of costs and benefits. Thanks.
The earlier the better, in my opinion 👍 Have a great week 🤠
Have a blessed week ahead!

Really as long as you’re prepared retirement is the ABSOLUTE BEST time of life! Have a blessed week!
So glad I retired early. God bless and have a wonderful Sunday!!!
Thanks & have a blessed week!
I agree, Terri and Keith. If you've prepared then do it as soon as possible and enjoy life. I straddled that fence way to long!
Glad you finally decided to take that leap to the retirement side! Hope you & Kathy enjoy your week!
Good video....
Thank you! 😊

We get new interests as we age. We were all young and stupid once 😅
I decided to retire at 62 and start collecting to help enjoy my life!!

I'm 63 and on the fence. My problem is I only saved 180k for retirement, and s.s.would be $2415 a month. No debt in Florida. Should I flip a coin?

I’m going to retire as soon as I possibly can. Travel as much as possible.
Great decision!
I’d love to retire, but some weekends I’m bored to death. I’m afraid of what 7 days a week would be like 🤷🏼♂️
Then working might be best for you until you find a hobby to occupy your time 👍
@@RetiredLovingIt thanks
Lovely chat, guys :)
Thanks Imo!
Yep. At some point time becomes more precious than money. You are just going to die and leave it someone else to enjoy.
So true. Money is definitely not the most important thing in life.
Hoosiers!
Yes 🙌
