XCEL has nice BARZ but his delivery and timing needs to improve big time if he's going to get in that ring with any of the TOP TIER BATTLERS. He has to SIT on his punches and put some emphasis on the HARD LINES.

one difference between winners and losers of these battles is that the losers sometimes have very good lines that they rush through. Daylyt consistently articulates his lines and leaves dramatic pauses..... he delivers it and waits for a tip whereas Xcel just rang the bell and ran off before the door opened... Xcel is nice tho. He's a credit to Massachusetts.

Days 3rd was a recycle. He spit it vs Ab Soul and somewhere else. He pulled that out the hat because he knew he was dying. Almost all of his first 2 was freestyle. He wrote nothing for Xcel.

To be completely COMPLETELY honest...Xcel reminded me of B-Magic. And both scheme way too damn much. He has NO delivery. Maybe 2/10 max regarding delivery. He's trying to be so complex and complicated it becomes exhausting listening to him. Day might have necessarily won because he also petered out in some places, but had delivery and some nice bars. Not all...but some.
I can respect Xcel & Daylyt both for not going overboard with gun lines though...definitely something that should be celebrated.
But you 10 or so commenting below me...don't really understand at all...rap is more than fitting double-meanings and such into every single line. It's about bars of course, flow, delivery, & originality. My man Xcel's material was written down as if it were an essay. Not exactly copied but neither original. A lot of people comment on Xcels delivery but honestly dude is polished. His delivery matches his writing perfectly IMO and he straight kills shit. Xcel is about to blow up quick and well deserving. Good move teaming with Homi Swave is one of the best and Xcel looks to be on the way.

Xcel is one of the most underrated battle rappers out here. Crazy bars, delivery, flow, projection... I've seen him stumble/choke a couple of times, but I've also seen him get better, which is a lot more than I can say for 90% of the game
I gave this to Xcel 3-0 clearly! The 1st round that people gave Daylyt wasn't long enough to out bar Xcel. It would have been a different story if Xcel was spitting bullshit in the 1st, but Excel gave you nothing but fire in that 1st. I've seen way better bars and performances from Daylyt than this.
