BrothaNBlue2 if you are a member of the armed forces, you are granted one year of wgi outside of the age out, as long as you weren't dishonorably discharged and you enlisted before 19.
Many people might not realize or recognize that when they were moving and making hand gestures that they were using infantry movement hand signals, i.e. halt, lower, echelon right/left, etc. i know that some comments referred to these movements as "gay" looking but again are infantry approved hand signals.
Without a doubt, hands down this, is the most amazing performance I've ever seen from the Commandant Own. I am definitely takek back by what they did with this performance. Outstanding, sensational patriotic and emotional ... thank you the confidante own!!!
Casey Leemon He hasn't been a performing member since 2012 I think. He handles all of our recruiting now and that's his full time position. He is still technically in the MOS but doesn't play any more.
Garrett Churchey thanks for the info man!! I'll have to pm him and give him shit that he no longer plays lol.I was looking so hard at alot of different videos, and couldn't find him on the snareline haha.I'm an old friend from high school,he's 4yrs older than me and had a HUGE influence on my drumming. Thanks again!!! And yeah, you guys ROCK!!!! Writing is alot more thicker these days, and waaaaay cleaner than the other indoor lines
Garrett Churchey question, brotha. I was a Corpsman that supported the 1st Mar Div band when they functioned as the division security platoon, is this the case for the Drum and Bugle Corps dudes too? Can y'all be sent to the fleet bands?
We can voluntarily lat move to the fleet band field (We had a trumpet player do that recently), but we will not PCS to other bands unless we choose to. Technically while we are all marine musicians, the Drum Corps is MOS 5512 and the fleet bands are MOS 5524. We are the only unit within the MOS 5512, so we stay at 8th & I, Marine Barracks Washington, DC and perform with the Drum Corps our entire career. A few years back there was an opportunity for a handful of our marines to deploy over to Afghanistan for a task force, but that hasn't happened since.
JayBlaski45 that's the reason why it's not that they're bad it's because they would have more time to master the stuff, therefore giving younger people less of a chance
They are called visuals. And why do u say it looked gay? If u watched wgi or dci you would know that this is the type of thing they do. And both of those organizations are the best in the world and these marines beat them in both categories
From those of us Marines who were band geeks back in high school before enlisting, thank you. My two passions combined into one.
They need to let these guys compete, they're solid
They're probably all over the age limit.
?

Manny R - really? That's the first I've heard of that. I'm guessing you found that on WGI's site?
Donald Allen their rule book yeah
Not that they did all their marching in combat boots or anything
Adam Ackermann that's what we march in all the time in the corps so they're used to it. Nothing special in their eyes lol
fuck. Every time I've seen them, they get about ten years better.

semperfirefighter I guess they should enlist and learn about what it’s all about instead of talking of stuff which they don’t know 🤷🏽♂️

Thanks for posting! It was awesome to see the entire show. Artistic , creative, yet still bad-ass Marines. "Very Good!"
swear to god I'd go to every finals these guys went to if they could compete.
If the Army had a Drum and Bugle Corps, I would have stayed in longer.
Since when do we do single count push-ups Marines?
joseph racer and kipping on the pull up bar lol. (Former infantry Corpsman 08-15)
And keeping our biceps on our chest as we crunch lol
Opsss
"PRIVATE!!!! WUT. ARE. YOU. DOING"
"FIRST SARNT, WERE DOING PT *M U S I C A L L Y"*
"...CARRY ON"
FUUUUUCK I got out way too soon. hahahaha. Nice job Marines!
this is actually really good.
that was more "badass" than anything that has been "badass" before!
Those tenors (quads) probably weighed as much as the snares for them😂
No they weigh the same for everybody
Not only do they make sick beats but they can also beat people's asses.....America
that openly feature omg
It's weird seeing them dance around like they are gymnasts. Cool set though. I like the use of the electronic instruments.
Awesome
Fucking Amazing
Have you heard of the Commandant's Own (Marine drum and bugle corps)?
Billy are you on the indoor line too. Or is it different dudes

My country's military indoor drum line is better than your country's military indoor drum line.
Tim Wilburn I swear to God if you say Top Secret
If you say slop secret.....see yourself out
This is the commandments own
😂 pogs
This is the exact reason they need to raise the age limit... Older Drummers can still kick some ass, too!

1337 Haxorus you don't become a CEO of a company in one day
JayBlaski45 you can if there’s a line of succession in the company
The drumming was great but the dancing around and throwing their arms up in the air like a bunch of fairies made all of us Marines look really gay.
They are called visuals. And why do u say it looked gay? If u watched wgi or dci you would know that this is the type of thing they do. And both of those organizations are the best in the world and these marines beat them in both categories
You mean the infantry approved hand signals they were using? Yeah. Real gay indeed.
Those are NATO hand signs you fucking pog.
You out of everyone should know that those are actual hand and arm signals, did you mot go through any combat training?
pog ass nigga 😭
Looks really gay lol
