395. Narrowboat DIY Hull Blacking

Every three years or so, a narrowboat needs to be taken out of the water to have its hull ‘blacked’, this being necessary to preserve the steel work, particularly along the water line. I last blacked my boat in April 2021, so it’s time to be re-done and on this occasion, I’m grateful for Sally’s help. In this episode, the boat is taken out of the water using an hydraulic trailer, pressure washed, part blacked and then moved on to the hardstand for the real challenge to commence.
