two gods of their craft Phil and Ray, its quite sad Ray is no longer around but his legacy still remains and so does the lives his work touched. Miss you and your craft man, though every time i look at dinosaur or into the sky i can see ray's work and imagination. I guess the best way i could say it is a quote from fear and loathing: "So now, less than five years later, you can go up on a steep hill in Las Vegas and look West, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high-water mark-that place where the wave finally broke and rolled back.”
Brilliant homage! Im so glad i got to meet him. Such a nice bloke to talk to. He was very modest and honest telling his story about his very humble beginnings. Im glad so many of us got touched by his brilliance. It wasnt just animation that he pioneered. He expanded overlacing of film footage much further than was imagined before he got hold of it (from a cowboy movie of all things!). I hope his collection became the museum he dreamed of.
Ray and the Argonauts ! All my youth in front of the tv, with my father
