this is a great song two of my favorite singers peter Gabriel and youssou Ndour what a treat for me. Merci beaucoup pour cette excellent clip de mes 2 favorits chanteur merci encore une fois de plus
I miss Peter Gabriel's music. Don't hear much of it anymore and this guy Youssou...I've never even heard of him until today when someone sent me a video of him and Dido. Loving this guy Youssou!
I am lost for Words........This is beyond song writing.......Thank you Peter Gabriel for creating such a magical song for the world to hear.........What amazing talent you have!
I love the way the showmanship accents the spirituality of this great song. They have been doing this thing for three decades, apparently, and this is the first time I have been privileged to see it. I love UA-cam. It is a cultural phenomenon.
One of the GREATEST performers I've ever had the honor to see live is Peter Gabriel. Back in the day after Shock the Monkey and before Big hit it "big" Peter would start his concert by going through the audience to enter the stage at small auditoriums so that he could physically touch as many people ... he even fell backwards off the stage to be caught by us! He only got better, and has touched many millions more with only his words!
A very advanced soul indeed, while the world is simutaneoulsy tearing itself apart from each other, a powerful one man band, is bringing us together sharing his love and music with us...
few songs can generate the SHEER emotion that this song does.. and the live performance makes it that much more powerful! I've never been able to listen/ watch this song w/o tearing up.
I was just watching this video, and when He took the lead,,, I was just blown away. Peter Gabriel is great and has always been surrounded by some the greatest artists.
my first time seeing an AFrican Artist was these two in the 80's. i was shocked. As an AFrican American only having known negative images of Africa. I was so shocked i stood thru the entire concert dumbfounded. Shocked to see all these white people enjoying this music that i knew nothing of. What an occasion to remember. I have to give thanks to Peter Gabriel and to you for sharing this. We deserve to experience one another in a more beautiful way. Blessings.
try to learn more about Youssou ndour I bet you will love him Great singer never stop listening to his music he made that song and also check out chimes of freedom new Africa and the remake of Bob Marley by Youssou Ndour
+Rehema Afful-Nyannor Back in 1994, a friend of mine talked me into going to the Utah Arts Festival, here in Salt Lake City. There were various musical acts playing on stages all over the site, food vendors, people selling their art, etc. The end of the evening was the big finale. Youssou N'Dour and his band, playing on that summer night, for a good three hours or so. It was mesmerizing! The only taste of African music I had ever had was what Paul Simon did on Graceland. This was SO much better. It was such a beautiful experience; almost religious. In my forty eight years on this earth, I've never enjoyed a concert as much as I enjoyed that one.
Quel classe et quel talent , un vrai régal pour les yeux et les oreilles . Un vrai délice par cette humanité si merveilleuse . vive la vie et bonheur pour vous tous .big kiss
I can say purely from my own heart that there is trully beautiful music... Please listen carefully to what peter is saying... I have to stop writing about this... because ever time I try.... All I end up doing is cry...ing
Peter Gabriel will never stop surprising me....so nice version of the sweetest love song...I think I`d die if An will sing it to me..:) Greetings from Peru!!!

I had the preciosus opportunity to see this 2 guys in a show: Peter, in 1996 and Youssou, last year. Both of two are incredible. Peter is my favorite singer on the earth. I think, him and Yossou have done many great things for the music. Thanks for the video!
Such beauty of spirit in these amazing human beings creating soaringly lovely music...wonderful wonderful and such a sweet jolt with with YousouN'Dour--
This was the first performance I saw by and African artist along with Peter Gabriel in Toronto in about 1986. It was accompanied with a troupe of African dancers. I was speechless.
I'm shocked at how much he's aged, but hey I remember him from the 80's, and my head is in a timewarp!! Time to get baack to reality. Go Youssou N'Dour, my senegal boy. Nege nef!
This man is a fantastic musician of great calibre and stature. Instead if all the R&B crap! our kids listen too they should grow up with good music. Peter delivers his best. Derrick
Thank you Lord for having given us Peter Gabriel !! He should be considered Patrimony of Humanity, like St.Peter's Basilica in Rome or the London's Tower! GENIUS !!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for sharing that bit of history with me Tornado. I had no idea. I only loved the music of Peter Gabriel. I lived in Los Angeles at the time and my good friend Julian Gonzalez introduced me to his music. He is very soulful and such a humanitarian. Thanks again friend!
I can only imagine the feeling one has when listening to this live... I sure hope I will have the chance to experience it. This is beautiful... No, way beyond beautiful.
this displays the roots of music and spiritualism in the US and how they have learned / combined - where it started and where it can go - old shcool / new school - all right here - i cried
In spanish this time...since i have no words to describe this feeling... Esta canciòn es nuestra An...la adoro y la adorè cuando me la enviaste...Espero que pronto se concreten nuestros anhelos..eres lo mas lindo k me ha pasado..(sueno loca, lo sè) pero es lo que siento ahora my sweet sweet hun...i love you..dont u ever forget that..
Your absolutely right! But he will always be one of the greats! I recently saw a BBC interview - he is very humble and suprisingly shy. His contributions to music and his influence on modern musicians is an indication of how great this man is! He is sounding and looking very tired though!
ME GUSTA ESE TONO AFRICANO , ESOS COROS ME SEDUCEN , SOY MEXICANO PERO CUANDO VEO UNA PERSONA DE COLOR ME DAN GANAS DE SALUDARLA , DE PLATICAR TAL VEZ DE ABRAZARLA .....PERO ES DIFICIL POR QUE HABLAMOS DISTINTO IDIOMA E INCLUSO LO PUDEN TOMAR A MAL , PERO CON ESTA CANCION ME CONFORMO Y SIENTO QUE CANTAMOS JUNTOS ESTA CANCION O MEJOR AUN ,QUE ME LA CANTAN A MI .....SALUDOS DE MEXICO PARA EL MUNDO Y EN ESPECIAL A TODA LA COMUNIDAD DE COLOR , DE VERAS LOS APRECIO DE CORAZON.....
@iheartsupernatural I can understand. I'm 29 now. And i listen them since i had 13. I build my mind and my musical taste with those great artists. I can even.. think about lose some one!
The music being made today does not compare with this. Its a shame music of this caliber isn't available from the newer talent. Peter gabriel and his band , some of the best ever.
I think these two make a great complimentary team. Love this song (a Say Anything fan--actually went to the movie theater to see it) and think that it gets more beautiful as it ages, like a fine wine.

Saw them perform this together in '86, Youssou N' Dour was Peter's opening act for the tour supporting So. No words, there are no words!!!

There are stars, there are good musicians and there are masters. Tell me why most of them are from U.K. Peter G. is one of the brightest examples.
