Thank you for your presentation. I noticed at the diagram of extruder picture that extruder was installed with heater inside the machine. Is there any particular reason to have heaters along the barrel? Thanks in advance for your answer.

Thanks for your question.
The role of the heater in barrels is to transfer the heat energy to raw material. The energy impacts the starch, fiber, and protein molecules including the water in the raw materials, changing the original structure of those. Some of the extruders did not have a heater, but you can find the heater for a twin-screw type extruder in general.
